Has anyone actually played a full length game in an NHL, NBA, or NFL game? I mean like 20 min periods in hockey, 12 min quarters in b-ball, and 15 min quarters in football. I did once in an NBA Live game back in the day. I lost by 1 because Kidd (on the other team) hit a half court shot at the buzzer. That was my worst loss ever on a video game anyway. So after that, I stopped playing full games. I think one time in NFL 2K5 I played a full game on Easy to get a lot of crib credits though. How about anyone else?

Yeah typically I play on Easy/Medium so were I to do this I'd end up in the 200-400 point range.

Every sports game I play with realistic times... if I were to shorten it, what's the point? It's not going to be realistic. If I'm playing for fun with a friend, I won't always play a full game... but if I'm doing a franchise mode, or a league or something, it's 95% of the time the full time.
I can't speak for the people who play these games for credits or achievements or whatever those lame Xbox 360 things are called, and aim to score 157 with doctor j to acheive those things, but if you mess with sliders enough in most all of the sports games (except for madden really, that games a god damn mess any way you write it up), you can almost always achieve a sim style of gameplay to go along with a full-length game without resorting to cheeseball tactics...
So to make my long rant short, yeah... all the time. I can't enjoy a game unless I play it how it's supposed to be played.

Nick, do you play football games with full quarters? I think I could handle a full game of hockey or b-ball, but I think I'd get bored to death of playing a full length football game

Nick, do you play football games with full quarters? I think I could handle a full game of hockey or b-ball, but I think I'd get bored to death of playing a full length football game On Madden, I'm trying to remember how I did it... I think I did 12 minutes, accelerated clock. So it went by much quicker than it seemed. Or maybe football games were the one game I didn't do full-length quarters in... and went with 10. Either way, if I did do a full game in them, I know I used accelerated clock. So to reflect on my first post, maybe I didn't do full games on football games. But I haven't played an NFL game in literally a year or two. I can't get into them any more, not even the NCAA ones.

i've played full length Madden, and NCAA. Worst idea I had was doing a full Nascar 2001 race. I was at Talledega and it took forever.

I used to do a 90 Minute games on FIFA 1997, but used to score about 100 own goals before hand, to make it harder...
Games don't really do it anymore though, the most you can do on Pro Evo is a 30 Minute game.

Hell no, you'll be sitting there all day playing the same game. Plus if I did that I might as well just watch the actual sport instead of playing it.
