East Coast Wrestling Association, the longest regularly running promotion in Delaware, is currently in negotiations with Ring of Honor to be bought. ECWA Founder Jim Kettner has decided to cease control of the promotion, and instead of just folding the company, decided to sell, knowing ROH's respect for the group and its top annual event, the Super 8 tournament. ROH's interest in the company is its tradition, both with the company and the Super 8 tournament.
Expect an announcement at this year's Super 8.
ECWA has seen some of the world's top professional wrestlers comes through its doors at various points in time. Charlie Haas, Petey Williams, Alex Shelley, Davey Richards, Christopher Daniels, Low Ki, Christian, Reckless Youth and many others have all wrestled in ECWA.

ROH has the money to do that? Where did you get this from? After a very successful first PPV, and an incredible Japan tour as well as several years of profitable business, ROH has quite a few dollars. As far as this goes, we'll see. |

indies have no roster.. apart from ROH, I don't think any actually have contracts that would carry over from a sale.. Thats correct. ROH is the only indy promotion that has contracts. Indy workers are independent agents that can choose to work any or all indy promotions. |
