Is it just me or should THQ make 2 or maybe ever 3 a year. Theres so many changes that happen in the WWE. Or even better how about an update cd every 4 months. All you would do is some how put it in machine load it. Like a save disc. And then put the original game back in. And wolla. You have updated roster obviously we couldn't have everyone on the roster. But as an exzample the cd could do stuff like. Change rosters. Update new attires. Get rid of people out of the game who's been fired. Updated PPV arena's. Stuff like that who agrees

Then they'd have no reason to make a new game.

They'd lose money. So it'll never happen.

Jakks doesn't have anything to do with the games. THQ and Yukes do however.

They'd lose money, it'd be pointless, downloadable content would be much smarter.

I would say they should just be putting out solid games. No updates unless downloadable content. They shouldn't be short changing fans on roster, season, etc. It's stupid on their part. Look at TNA's game. They work DIRECTLY with the talent who they're making the game of. They do the mo cap work, they tell them what wrestling fans want, etc. Midway is paying attention to fans. THQ seems to have the WWE mindset of they don't need to listen to their market. They can make a lack luster game and people will still buy it. It's exactly why I'm not buying SVR this year. Same with my brother. Yukes has NOTHING to do with it. They basically take orders from above. They're in Japan for sake. The only thing they probably care about is that Exciting Pro Wrestling doesn't outsell Wrestle Kingdom as they own the prime company in the game.

WWE should let them in on stroylines so yukes and THQ can develop any new characters before they've even debuted and use them as back ups for anybody that leaves or gets fired. and it's voila not wolla

In a matter of fairness, I should point out that TNA's work schedule (as we all know) is much lighter than the WWEs. Therefore allowing guys like Joe, Senshi, and Stytles to be able to work with midway.

Heading off on European or Japanese tours are a different story. Plus if they really wanted to, WWE can write guys off TV for the week and have them go do it. There's various ways around it, but none of the routes are ever taken. They have the ability to do whatever they want to put out the best game, they choose not to.

I was just going to bring to the table that most sports games update rosters, players, etc online after the season starts. I updated my teams roster and guys who weren't even in the game when I bought it are suddenly in my starting lineup. I don't see any of those games "going out of business or losing money". Besides once its time to release a new game they simply tell everyone "we are no longer updating this game, so you need to buy the new one to continue to recieve updates." Just add a few changes like adding different matches or things like that and people will still want the new one anyway.

What you described is a manual and more costly version of downloadable content. Your idea is suitable to non 3rd generation console owners but the SVR range will probably leave them behind next year or so, therefore there isnt a point in releasing a disk when downloadbale content is indeed a far more superior option.

Oh look some one has been released lets buy "Smackdown vs Raw 2008 2" the second installment this year so he isnt on the roster! Great idea m8 what a waste of money for both us and THQ! And why would they do that they have online consoles where you can download superstars etc. for free!
