Hey guys, I received a vintage (if that's what you want to call it) item in the mail today from an eBay seller that I won a few weeks back. It only cost me about $14 shipped, and it's something I used to own two of but not any longer. This set, one of the three original Grapple Gear sets from 1998, was called "Back Alley Playset" and featured the first dumpster accessory made of plastic, a plastic filthy-looking toilet and a rubber trashcan w/removable plastic lid. Here are some shots of the MOC set, front and back: The back of the carding also features many of the current BCA figure sets at the time including 2 Tuff 2 (Tag team/Manager sets), Superstars Series 6 (Much like the regular RA line today) and S.T.O.M.P. Series 3 (All-plastic figures w/snap-on accessories and unusual weapons). You can also see the WWF Attitude ring available, as well as the Kids belts and Mini-rings figures sets of the time. An aerial shot of the MOC set... ...And a shot of the accessories loose in their bubble And, some more loose pics I also thought it would be interesting to recreate the prototype image of the set with the accessories and BCA figures shown in the small photo to the left Here you see BCA Slammers 2 Dude Love fits perfectly in the dumpster... ...And not so much CS2 Dude Love And, a final parting shot with CSTT Austin disrespecting BCA Austin with both Dude Love's apparently pleased in the background Well, thanks for looking and I hope this dug up some memories for you from 1998 WWF toys.

I have that set, and man do I love it. The dumpster is awesome.
And wow, o wow, does that back of the box bring back some memories. Loved that era of figures.
Great pickup, Chi. Enjoy it!

Awesome! I wish I never got rid of my old accessories! I don't even know what I did with them! Brings back great memories of the dumpster and my bca's being torn up in the "back alley street fights"!
+1 for you.

That is an awesome dumpster. I passed on it back in the day. I did buy the announce table which I still have. I also had the Road Dogg/BA Billy Gunn set along with Marc Mero, Triple H, and Mark Henry from the singles. I still have the Road Dogg but the others I sold.

Nice pickup, wish they would make these again.

Dear lord does that bring back memories. Something I will never forget is how the tables they made back then would fit perfectly over the dumpster, the table would just long enough to sit on the edges of the dumpster and not fall in.

Haha, yes. I haven't thought of that possibility in years it seems. I remember always taking the legs off of the red announce table and placing the table across the dumpster just right. I feel so bad for kids today that never get the chance to use their imagination with Jakks toys since they're too busy rummaging through piles of cookie sheets and ring bells.
