Outside of CS, why even bother collecting anymore. In 2010 we'll more than likely have to start over anyway, that's if you are a person that plays/is bothered with figure scales. It's like...why buy a John cena now when down the road they have a better one made? Just throwing it out for thought

Theres really no sense in stopping. Sure we might have a different scale of figures in 2010, but that'll be in 2 years. Plus Jakks is going to step up there game with the last years with the WWE liscense. Were going to get some amazing figures and playsets these last 2 years with Jakks.

Exactly, and if you've already dumped hundreds (some people thousands) of dollars in figures, then why stop if there is only 2 years left to go? Enjoy it while it lasts. Why not get the figures you know and love, and just (try) not get hooked on the Mattel figures?

I really wouldn't be so sure about that Johnny.
Personally, I'm finished collecting, but it boils down to numerous reasons, one of which is the switch-over.
However, I'm still willing to buy the obscure Jakks' lines, like Vinyl Aggression and Unmatched Fury if they do them right. I just won't be buying anywhere near as much as I have before.
Its worth collecting if you plan on switching over to TNA with Jakks. If you've only started getting into collecting and have a small collection, and only buy the odd figure here and there, I'd suggest waiting for the takeover.

Luckily i stopped collecting the "current" figures a few weeks ago and just stick with CS now and i'm sure Jakks will keep the CS line (maybe with a new name) alive and in RA scale so i'll stick with them and just be screwed out of future WWE contracted wrestlers or WWE owned gimmic characters unless Mattel sticks with scale

I understand what you're saying, but I am just going to continue on as if nothing is wrong, and when Mattell releases protos I will make a decision.

Why buy a TV now, when down the road there will be better ones?
Why eat Lunch when you can just wait to dinner.
Why see a movie at the movies when you can just wait for the DVD?
See where Im going with this?

Two years is still a long way to go and based on the Toy Fair pics, looks like Jakks is going to release a lot of cool figs, not all RAs and DAs. Let's consider this the "evolution" of collecting wrestling figures. I mean 20 years ago I believe LJNs were the hottest figures around. Then came the Hasbros ( which I loved ) then a lot more followed like BCAs, TTLs, etc. WWE and the companies making their toys changes through the years, and I'm sure the collectors will change with them too. Or at least will adapt to their changes.

Its worth it If you want to collect the new figures.... I for one see that in the next 2 years jakks will make BDV Hornswaggle Santino Colin Delaney and a bunch of other ppl... They wont ever be made again most likely.. Thats why I will continue to collect... Plus I gotta catch up on previous lines...LOL....
