Well just getting set up in the new room in my house, It's pretty big and a nice new room. So I decided to set up a whole new big arena with my RSR and custom stage and all.. just the thing is the arena looks "naked" without any Barricades. Any ideas of how to make any fast? Thanks

if you have any vhs tapes to spare split them in half and they look even better and you get more!

VHS tapes look ridiculous, you'd be better of using bits of card or something rather than video tapes will big reels and stickers on. I've got loads of the black barriers from the Metal Vengeance Arena which are ok but they don't look right for a classic setup. I can't believe Jakks won't make cheap barricades to put in with figures instead of all the chairs/pipes etc. We need the simple vertical bar barriers that surround nearly every wrestling ring in the world, they'd be cheaper and easier to make than alot of the accessories we do get with figures and I'd buy every figure that had one with it.

Well yeah... VHS tapes would look bad. I had the Metal Vengeace Arena when I was younger but lost most of the pieces after time. So I'm thinking making them out of cardboard in a 3D shape and covering them with felt which will be cut to size. But any other ideas?

Black foam board could work.
I have Metal Vengeance Arena barricades to fit around my RSR. Looks great but it was really expensive to get all the pieces needed to go around a RSR.

I intend on using cardboard. You get the really strong cardboard and just it appropriately.

Cardboard, and those foam sheets you can get from walmart is what i used, although yours would be bigger considering its going around your RSR, but cardboard looks great when its done right, heres what mine looks like.

regal101 makes barricades, I bought some and they are amazing! perfectly to scale, even have removable parts for announcers. I recomend!

Foam Core Board.
I made a set forever ago but unfortunately when I moved they got trashed. When you move to Florida you look to trash as much as possible because of the length of haul.
How I made mine was cutting strips the length of the board out about 4 or 5 inches. Figure out where your lengths will need to hook into each other. Once you do that, lay them out around your arena and figure out where your bends will need to be to look correct. Then, score the back of the board about 4 or 5 places in each bend. This will create the smooth curve that you need to make the corners look correct.
Super glue your pieces together and bam, nicely done barricades that are accurate and will stand up.

I used vhs tapes because that was the only resource I had available to me. I havent gotten around to changing them. They do work, they are quick, but like everyone said, they arnt the best way to go.
I am also currently looking for another alternative.

I used VHS tapes with card/Paper around them simple to make just grab a tape and stick the piece of A4 colored paper [Blue, Black] Around it cut of the excess paper at the edge, Do several of these then you can line them all up around the RSR and Entrance ramp etc, Cheap, easy, fast, But make sure they are video tapes you wont want to be watching any more!

I suppose VHS would work if you planned on using crappy old ones you'd never use again.
Bit of black spray paint over them and bam, you got a decent barrier.
Regal101 is also a good idea.

wood and black paint?
might sound obvious but it's only a bit slower than everyone else's ideas. and they're only simple shapes, all one color, shouldn't take long.
