- Matt Sydal defeated Mike Kruel at last night's OVW TV tapings to become the new OVW Heavyweight Champion.
- Former WWE Superstar Luna Vachon will be officially retiring from professional wrestling at Blizzard Brawl 3 this Friday, December 7 in Milwaukee, WI. Luna will be wrestling TNA Knockout Ms. Brooks on the show. Other names advertised are BG James, Joey Mercury, Eugene, Al Snow, Too Cool and others.
- DUALITY01 sent word that the Comcast Cable preview for WWE's 15th Anniversary Special for RAW next Monday night lists Bret Hart as appearing on the show.
Furthermore, the official TV Guide and DirecTV previews for RAW also list Bret as appearing. Here is the preview from Direct and TV Guide:
Featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Undertaker, Bret Hart, the McMahon Family and Hulk Hogan.
- The only thing that is known about Hulk Hogan’s upcoming return to WWE at Monday’s 15th Anniversary RAW special is that Vince McMahon reached out to him and not vice versa. Obviously WWE has pumped the show full of talent to try and pull a very high rating. As we have been reporting, there are plans to try and get Hogan to work WrestleMania 24 next year. While the chances of it happening are not very good it is rumored that Vince McMahon will at least ask Hogan and Steve Austin about a potential match at the big pay-per-view. The hold up on the dream match is Austin as it is said that Hogan would do it in a heartbeat.
- Former Extreme Expose member Brooke said that she had big plans and would be doing Playboy and working in TNA Wrestling soon. The idea late last summer was to have her, Kelly Kelly, and Layla in Playboy right before WrestleMania. With Brooke being released those plans have obviously been scrapped.
- Torrie Wilson is being held out of action for the next few weeks to receive physical therapy on her back that has been bothering her.
- In Michael Cole’s latest “Cole Report” on WWE.com he reveals that the bunk where WWE talent is staying is setup in what used to be a bathroom. The video report shows the area where they are staying where the urinals have been removed. There is an office setup in what used to be a large shower room. In Cole’s latest report they show just how dangerous of a place Iraq is to be.
- This week’s Superstar to Superstar chat on WWE.com features former WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle talking with Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson of The Girls Next Door. Click here to check it out.
- Most of the WWE SmackDown superstars are currently in Ireland where the company is doing a tour. The company has uploaded photos from the tour and posted them on the official WWE web site. You can check them out at this link.
The following talent is said to currently be on the Tribute to the Troops tour currently in Iraq. This list comes courtesy of Buck Woodward of the Professional Wrestling Insider:
- Michael Cole
- Ron Simmons
- Snitsky
- Vince McMahon
- Hardcore Holly
- Randy Orton
- Triple H
- Rey Mysterio
- Mickie James
- Shawn Michaels
- Melina
- Maria
- Mark Henry
- Lilian Garcia
- Kelly Kelly
- Layla
- Carlito
- Chris Jericho
- Umaga
- Jeff Hardy
- John Cena
- JBL
- Kennedy
While this is the list floating around on the Internet it is unlikely that John Cena made the trip. There were some people that claim that they saw the Undertaker in the background of the most recent Cole Report on WWE.com, however, his name was not on the list as to making the trip.
