Who do you think?
I bet Vince will say himself but w/e in reality here's my view:
Biggest impact on Raw: Rock/Austin without a shadow of a doubt; literally doubling Raw's ratings. Probably more-so SCSA because it was the 'Austin era'.
(I do realize there is Hulk Hogan who put wrestling on the map, but that was 10 years before Raw was around so I'll save the mighty Hulkster for later. Rock and Austin were the 'second big boom' in wrestling and, put Raw into a hosehold name.)
Best 'wrestler': Bret Hart. Bar-none. NOT because IMO he is better than the Nature Boy Ric Flair, but because Ric Flair isn't know for his Monday Night Raw 'legacy'. They are both awesome, and I wouldn't like to pick who's better, but for Monday Night Raw, Bret Hart is the better 'wrestler'. Of course there is the Kurt Angle's and Benoit's of the world who were equally as good, but they don't match up to Bret's star power and overall time at the top.
Greatest Diva in all of Raw's history: Tough. Lita revolutionised the actual women's wrestling style, where-as Trish grew, and became the greatest WWE Women's Champion in all of Raw. So it depends on how you look at it. Lita for actually blowing apart the division with her luchador style. Trish as an overall Diva. IMO, it just has to go to Trish Stratus. BUT, as Raw's greatest Superstar in history, no diva can compete with the superstardom that comes with other names I'm mentioning.
Dominance: Undertaker. HHH. Either of those two. Undertaker debuted near the top almost 18 years ago and hit the very top almost 17 years ago, and has literally stayed there ever since. HHH? 11/10 time WWE Champion/WHC (Lol I forgot) he debuted about 13 years ago I think, and has grown into one of the most consistently dominating forces in Raw's history. Again, depends on how you look at it...Undertaker for overall time at the top. HHH for credentials. Too hard this one. (Again you could argue Hogan, but again lol, he was before Raw's time IMO.)
'Performer/Entertainer': Obviously the first man to come to mind is Shawn Michaels. But I guess you can include the Hulkster into this category. Two phenomenal crowd favourites. I simply don't know where to begin with the comparison. It speaks for itself. I guess I will also include The Rock. Arguably the greatest fan-favourite of all time. Definately one of, if not THE, greatest entertainer. But overall, including in-ring ability into this category, and high-profile matches into consideration, I think The Rock is (amazingly, I know...) over-shadowed by both Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels...So...Overall in the history of wrestling, you simply cannot deny that Hulk Hogan is the 'Wrestler'. But for this argument, for Raw, it has to be Shawn Michaels.
Others: Now we come to the 'others'. Big Show. Chris Jericho. Rob Van Dam. Razor Ramon. The Hardy Boys. Edge. Diesel. Kurt Angle. Yokozuna. Randy Orton. Mick Foley. Kane. Batista. John Cena. Booker T. Eddie Guerrero. JBL. Rey Mysterio. Vince McMahon. Chris Benoit. Sgt. Slaughter.
All are/have been truly awesome in their own right on Monday Night Raw in the past 15 years, and each fit into certain 'catergories' above, but once they are in those catergories, they just can't compete with the other names there. That is taking nothing away from these guys, but they just cannot be compared to someone who is simply better at that certain characteristic. Which is a shame because you feel that some of these names should be considered, but like I say once one name of way above is pitted against them, it's no contest.
So overall I guess it has to logically come down, and I repeat and stress LOGICALLY come down to...
My pick...
NOT neccessarily my favourite, although one of them. But this is simply down to LOGIC, I don't think it can be anybody else other than...
Anybody care to share their thoughts?
