Austion started by half challenging Hogan at the 2005(?) hall of fame, then Hogan appeared on Raw a few weeks later saying he wanted to face him. Then nothing else was said about it.

I heard basically that Austin won't job to Hogan, and Hogan won't job to Austin. Because of this, and Hogan's greed, we will probably never see them fight each other.

Keep in mind that theyre both in no condition to compete.

I think that it's possible that Austin may have one last match in him, well atleast I hope so

Because Austin knows Hogan will do the same to him as HBK.
HBK was supposed to win the match against Hogan, then Hogan would win the second match. Hogan's ego got Vince to change the decision and then pulled out of a second match.

Keep in mind that theyre both in no condition to compete. In theory, Hogan can still compete because his style doesn't warrant any real athletic ability. As long as he can hit the Leg Drop without breaking his hip, he's good to go.

It actually started back in WCW, Hogan made his debut & Austin a promising heel was pushed down the card & ended up being squashed by Hogan's buddy Hacksaw Jim Duggan for the US Title in mere seconds. Apparently Austin held a grudge over that, plus he knew how Hogan can be all about himself & turned down offer to headline Wrestlemania vs. Hogan and instead Rock stepped in & Hogan did exactly as Austin suspected. I don't believe either man should get in the ring but if so they should be in with someone who can carry them to a strong bout as in Hogan/HBK which was a masdterclass of HBK's ability. Putting two broken down wrestlers in the ring is not going to be a pretty sight & Austin isn't going to let that happen

Hogan is still able to compete, if you look back at his carrear he never really took any major bumps and he was never sidelined with any major injuries unlike Austin.
I also heard they had a little confrontation at the after party of the Hall of Fame ceramony, I heard Austin said some unfreindly words to Hogan but I dont really know the story, if anybody can elaborate it would be apriciated.

Hulk walked up to Bret Hart & Steve Austin at the Hall of Fame to shake both their hands and its reported that both guys snubbed him. Austin for reasons stated above and Bret because Hulk refused to pass to the torch to him at Summerslam 1993, instead dropping the title to Yokozuna at KOTR '93 as he didn't think Bret was credible enough to beat him for the belt.

Hogan's ego got Vince to change the decision and then pulled out of a second match. That's not entirely true. Hogan won the first match and HBK was scheduled to win the second. While it is true that Hogan bailed from the second match the reason he bailed is because Shawn threw a hissy fit on Raw the next night and buried him completely. As for the Hogan/Austin thing it's a match that would most likely totally suck, but man, would people pay big money to see it.

He claimed his knees hurt so he couldn't do the second match.

He claimed his knees hurt so he couldn't do the second match. Because Shawn buried him.
