Why don't the fans ever toss garbage into the ring anymore? I remember watching WCW, and every week somebody would get nailed with a soda or something. It seemed like litter was always coming down on the ring after every nWo beatdown.
Do they like..enforce the rule not to throw stuff a lot harder now? Because the rule was still around then, but they did it anyways.
It's been a long time since I've seen the ring showered with garbage.

The last time I remember garbage coming to the ring was when Big Show won the ECW title.

As expensive as tickets are as compared to before, most people close enough to throw probably don't think it's worth it to lose thier seat.

More Smarts. Not very often do they get ticked enough to throw garbage and get fined. The last two times I believe were at Slammiversary 2006 and when Big Show won the ECW title. Expect litter if 222 isn't jericho and if Cena wins at the next PPV.

At the last ECW at Hammerstin a guy in the front tried to throw beer and it hit a guard and the guard beat the crap out of the guy, it was pretty cool,

It has nothing to do with more respectful fans, although a majority are hand-fed and hardly rebelious....
It all has to do with WWE making tickets so overpriced, you gotta be intellectually- disabled to get yourself kicked out for something stupid.

I didn't see this post prior to mine, I'm glad someone else agrees with the theory. Why spend $45 or however much for a seat, to get kicked out, and miss something potentially good? I mean, look at the guy who rushed the ring at Wrestlemania. Total intellectually- disabled person, god knows how much he spent to see the match he missed seeing live due to, one to many beers.

Most likely because these people will get kicked out. I remember at Slammiversary 06 when we did it to Jarrett, they were ing pissed, but didn't do anything because everyone was doing it, but after that, anyone who threw trash was kicked out on the spot.

Hell, I've seen people get ejected for having signs that Vince didn't like...for garbagetossing they probably press charges.
Come to think of it, there are 2 incidents where Philly fans have chucked garbage that I can think of...and they were both due to the result of a main event, so it didn't matter.

I really don't think it's that people don't want to get kicked out, because if they were throwing stuff after the main event, it wouldn't matter because the show's over. I think it's just that people don't really give a crap anymore.

I'm not exactly sure why the fans don't toss garbage into the ring anymore. The one time that I can remember off hand was at ECW One Night Stand with RVD vs. Cena. They threw rolls of toilet paper at Cena. That was hilarious. I enjoyed it.

My honest opinion is that fans just don't care as much about wrestling anymore as they used to. And I'm not even trying to be a smartass about it, either. There aren't any faces who fans connect to the same way they did with Austin, Rock, Foley, etc. and there aren't any heels who fans really loathe as they used to.
The last few times I've seen fans toss stuff in the ring were at ECW events that people mentioned above, so my logic would prove to be true. ECW fans in Philly/ NY take wrestling really, really seriously and are crazy like that.

We don't expect anything good to happen, so when WWE does something stupid, we are used to it and go home.

I remember seeing Nash get pelted in the face with an entire coke. The best part is, he didn't even flinch.
