i was just wondering, which is the best way to get front row tickets when there is no pre-sale and it is pretty much just luck of the draw. should i order them online, go to the box office, call, or go to a different ticketmaster outlet??

Sorry I can't help, but I've always wondered this as well. I would guess that being first in line at the arena or outlet would be the best.
I have never gotten a front row seat off ticketmaster.com. Not even for small houseshows.

I have gotten both 2nd and 3rd row (2nd row this past August at RAW in Boston, and 3rd row for an upcoming SmackDown/ECW taping in Boston) on Ticketmaster.com.
If you're buying off of Ticketmaster, you can do either of the following: 1.) Be on Ticketmaster.com as soon as the tickets go on-sale to the general public (which is usually @ 10:00 AM). 2.) Search Google.com for the pre-sale password. There are one or two forums listed on there where people list the passwords for numerous events. It doesn't take long to find the one you're looking for.
Also, I know someone that never buys off of Ticketmaster, and always goes to the box office at the arena 2 or 3 hours before the start of the show, and keeps asking the person at the desk "what are the seats that you have available? preferably Section A, Row 1 (or whatever section you are looking for, row 1)." I bought my ticket to Raw and was 3 rows from the ring. He bought his ticket 3 hours before the show and was on the non-camera side of the ring, DEAD-CENTER! It still amazes me.
There is also StubHub, but I don't advise purchasing there because a friend of mine recently bought Van Halen tickets off of there, had the tickets e-mailed to him, and the day of the event, the tickets wouldn't scan, and he had to buy another set.

I think it really just depends on who gets to any source first. I've been in line at the arena, in line at a ticketmaster outlet, and simply ordering from ticketmaster.com. At the arena, I ended up with nosebleed seats at the top tier behind the titantron. With the outlets, I got similar nosebleed seats once and medium tier seats the second time. Most recently, I was able to get fairly good medium tier seats despite ordering several hours after the on-sale time on ticketmaster.com. Unless you plan to be one of the first people in line, it's probably better to go with the website (in my experience, at least).

In my experience the only time I ever got front row was through Ebay, but now take my chances with Ticketmaster. I used to go to TM Outlets but it became a big pain when you'd find out when you get there that some big name concert is going on sale at the same time and you're stuck behind a bunch of those people and there could be a small handful who are looking for WWE tix. My friend though always goes down to the arena and she always gets within the first few rows and I've also heard of people going down to the arena the day of and getting floor seats, so to me it's just luck.
