What was it? I mean, all these are iconic! I say it was the NWO. It was built on the popularity of Hulkamania and it changed the industry, allowing things like the Attitude Era to be started. NWO = the most important "thing" in wrestling.

Wrestlemania is still around, it's the biggest wrestling event every year, etc. WM will stand the test of time along with it's history. Little kids will watch Wrestlemania, they'll have to learn the nWo.

My favorite was the attitude era, which was when I really, REALLY started to get into wrestling. i saw before that, but around then is when I got hooked.

Nothing beats the attitude Era. Wrestlemania has had ups and downs though like WM18 or WM19.

Nothing beats the attitude Era. Wrestlemania has had ups and downs though like WM18 or WM19. Downs are 18 and 19? Those are two of the best Wrestlemanias. You want to see a "down" for it, watch WMXI or WMIX. I've tried watching them and felt cheated on both. Bret shouldn't lose the title to Yoko to then drop it to Hogan moments later. Terrible WM. XIX had HBK/Jericho in one of the best matches WWE had in years.

Hulkamania is honestly the greatest thing to come in professional wrestling. I'm not the biggest Hogan mark but without it we wouldn't have an NWO, Wrestlemania, or an Attitude era.
The Horsemen don't even come close to being the greatest "thing" in wrestling. Best stable yes but it didn't cause major events to happen in the business (I.E. huge PPV's or a golden era). And that pains me to say that because I AM one of the biggest Flair marks.

Has to be Wrestlemania for me. If there was no Wrestlemania, I seriously doubt I'd still be watching. It makes you anticipate the whole year so it will climax at Wrestlemania. The whole feel to it is the only WWE Show that gives you that special feel when you watch it nowadays.
But if we didn't have Hulkamania, then I doubt we would still have Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania is first, and then Hulkamania.

The nWo is what brought us to modern wrestling. I'm not sure what we would have today if it were not for the nWo storyline. There would not have been an attitude era.

Hulkamania, with WrestleMania coming in at a very close second. Hulk Hogan made professional wrestling what it is today, and what it has been for the past 17+ years. He was bigger than the Rock in his heyday. That's the Rock's heyday, not Hogan's. Let's face it, his day has come. He can keep making his crappy movies, no one cares anymore.
In short, if I were not for Hulk Hogan, wrestling would be very different today. I doubt it would ever have gotten as big as it has.

Wrestlemania it lead to all WWE PPV's and it lead to RAW and SmackDown and that means it had a huge impact.

I don't think some people understood what they were voting for. It's not what you prefer, it's what had the most profound affect on wrestling. Steve Austin, the Attitude Era, the nWo, and the Horsemen only had a temporary impression (though the Horsemen did last much longer than the others). Hulk Hogan and WrestleMania are the only two choices that actually changed the business.
I don't think the Attitude Era should count anyway, because the entire era was stolen from ECW. Everything they were doing in Philly we would see the next week on Raw.

Hulkamania, and this is coming from someone who cannot stand him. He made wrestling big, along with Warrior for many years. Austin then went on to carry that torch from Bret Hart, and Michaels. He dropped it to HHH, and then Cenamania was born.

Hmm, I dont know if Wrestlemania would have been a success without Hogan, plus the whole concept of Wrestlemania (a huge event, with plenty of celebrity guests) was Hogan's idea although he took it from Dr. D Schultz. He was actually going to have Piper's spot in WM until the whole reporter incident.
