I want to burn this forum. It's a topic about Chris Benoit's freakin' spandex tights. Tights = wrestling. Chris Benoit's contribution to wrestling. This isn't about what he did, it doesn't pertain to the murders, it has nothing to do with anything other than, hey, this is what Chris Benoit wore in the ring many years. Why is that so hard for some of you to understand? The "HE'S A MURDERER OMG" approach is absolutely ridiculous because honestly I don't care what he did in his personal life WHEN I AM TALKING ABOUT HIS CAREER. Of course his family is more important than wrestling, and of course Benoit's act overshadows it all, but it has nothing to do with the topic on hand. Exactly what I was trying to say man.

I'm going to buy those, Jeffrey Dahmer's silverware set, Gacy's clown hat, and a hair from Hitler's mustache so I can clone them all so I can have my own army of monsters to do my bidding and wipe out the world's enemies.
Benoit was a monster. Stop sticking up for someone who choked his 7 year-old child to death. The stuff about his brain damage is not concrete. The facts are these: no one noticed his attitude being different on the road that week, but he takes off from a ppv to go home and kill his wife and child. That's called Insane.
He was a great worker, but he was nuts. So if you want to talk about his work, that's fine, but don't make excuses for what he did because none of us will ever know.

Stop trying to cause fights. Benoit did what he felt was right. True. There really are no circumstances where killing a woman and a child would be wrong. he didn't say that. if i could afford those, i'd definetly pick em up

Will Smith isn't Robert Deville in I Am Legend. Will Smith doesn't really research for cures for the infected bodies, Robert Deville does! Chris Benoit was WHC, and held the other titles he held because thats what he was scripted to do. Triple H isn't Triple H in real life! Vince Mcmahon isn't Mr. Mcmahon. They are all FICTIONAL characters!!! FICTIONAL characters! So all the B.S about his contribution to wrestling and his amazing career is the stupidest excuse in the world.

$900 for spandex? No thanks. And they couldn't even find an image of Benoit wearing those exact tights? Pfft.

I wonder why that coward Benoit chose not to take his "mental breakdown" out on 250lb wrestlers, but instead a women and child. If he was so out of his mind, he would've taken a life sentence instead of killing himself and taking the easy way out. Stop trying to cause fights. Benoit did what he felt was right. Dude, the man killed his wife and his 7 year old son. No excuses for that. I don't give a bakers if he had brain dammage, because it couldn't have been that damn bad if he flew all over the country going through hotels and driving cars and what not for 300 days a year.

And this thread has to do with the Character Chris Benoit, not the real man. What the Character Chris Benoit wore in the ring when he scriptedly won the WHC title, scriptedly won Intercontinental on numerous occasians, and many other scripted things. So why all this fight about the "Real Chris Benoit" when this is obviously about the character.

The point I am trying to get across is that when people use the excuse that they will remeber him for what he did in the ring and what he accomplished, its all scripted. The real Chris Benoit killed his family, the Crippler Chris Benoit, the character, had a scripted life.

You know, if this had been any other wrestler you could reasonably use this whole argument of don't confuse the character with the real person. Unfortunately, Chris Benoit wrestled under his own name. Chris Benoit the wrestler had the same demeanor as Chris Benoit the real person. Hell, Chris Benoit's whole gimmick was that he was "for real." What do you think that meant? Wrestling was his life. You cannot separate the two because they are one in the same and that's the way he wanted it. Trust me, it wasn't a character that wore those tights, it was very much a real person.

Benoit wasnt a character in the way that The Rock, Undertaker, Kane are, he was just basically himself. Those people who are saying that buying his tights arent anything to do with the murders are just either totally ignorant or are trying to fool themselves into thinking something is right. Chris Benoit the performer/Chris Benoit the man where one and the same. Wrestling was his life along with his wife and son. Buying something that belonged to Benoit is basically glorifying and promoting the legacy of a man who killed two people.

his mental breakdown? which i still believe his actions were not HIS actions, but of whatever was inside him at the time.
