In 2002, If he never tore his bicep, do you think he would be the old Kane? I think so because if he never got injured, there would be no reason to A) Change his attire and B) take off his mask. The only reason I can think of is, the last masked era of Kane, he was a babyface. Most of the time, face's only get stripped of their masks. EX) Hurricane. Back in 2000 era, Kane was the biggest Heel in the buisiness, so two years later, they wouldnt need to change his gimmik and/or attire. What are your thoughts?

Kane changed his mask simply because it was difficult for him to breathe, no?

As far I know, Glen Jacobs who play as Kane, as saying the old mask was difficult to breath properly, and too much claustrophobic because the mask was cover all of his face. And getting too hot short after the match start. (Remember he wrestle and move around a lots, and light towards the ring. That is make feel hot because of heat come from the lights) which make him extreme hot (Could lead to faint or whatever). So he get mask changed to half of the mask.
And he removed mask as storyline between Triple H, WWE was expected give him an major pushes, but WWE must has learn the mistake now.

He'd be where he is now. Reason to change Kane? His masked character was boring and stale.
Too bad he's nothing special now, he just mails it in every week.

Between the years of 1997 and 2002, Kane was suffering inside every night he wrestled? You would think he'd request for the mask removal years earlier, maybe in 98' or 99'. I did notice he would breathe loudly during long matches with The Undertaker or The Rock.

Kane was a) Fed up of having to keep the mask on when he left the arena etc b) They simply wanted to change his character. Why do people always say they wish Kane still had his mask? Because they are bored of him now, without the mask. However, I bet you any amount of money that the same people would be bored of him now if he still had the mask and would want him to take it off. He had from 97 to 03 in the mask, and it was time for a change.
Yes, masked Kane was better, but I don't want the mask back. It's the same as people who want Austin and Rock back. You would be sick of them by now if they were still here. The old Austin and Rock are long gone, they had thier time, just as masked Kane had his. You never miss ANYTHING, until its gone...
