Why the hell don't we get them no more?
I mean last year Umaga had the title in the BOTB match, the 2 years beofre that Shelton had the belt and was in MITB
Why doesn't WWE put the title on someone like JBL or Jericho, and have them 2 fued for the title, which will prelong wat, IMO has been a pretty good fued so far

Last time it was defended was at Wrestlemania X8, I believe. Six years ago.
It would be kind of cool to just have a huge over the top rope battle royale for the title, with everybody not in another match in it.

I think WWE should kill the IC belt, they are obviously in no favour to it as the champion never has any title defences, therefore shattering the titles credibility, I doubt Hardy will have a Mania defence either, he'll most likely be in MITB.

Tbh while I'm not a big fan of his title reign, I think Jeff Hardy has given the title more prestige. He's held the title for almost 6 months and while he hasn't made many defenses, the guy has been red hot and has main evented with the title around his waist. Even though it's not the title being defended in the main event, it's still in the main event and that increases its' prestige. It makes the belt seem larger when a red-hot main eventer carries it, even if he rarely defends it.

Why would they just throw the belt on a guy like Jericho? His feud with JBL is ALREADY heated enough.
I meam, sure, I'd kill for an Intercontinental Title match at Mania, but giving it to someone just so they can say, "alright, title match" would be stupid. Its like Rocky Miavia vs The Sultan at Mania, nobody cares. And hey, at least the champion has wrestled at Mania in the past 4 years. Orton, Shelton, Umaga, they were all in huge matches.

i feel like guys like lance cade or santino and cody rhodes should be in what can be called the "intercontinental title division" Take the belt off jeff he is too big for it now...and let there be a cade v rhodes match @ wm that'd be great to see

Hardy VS HBK for the IC title with HBK winning the title would be awesome. I wish that would happen but it won't.
For some reason I'd rather see HBK with the IC title than the WWE title.

That title has sadly lost all its meaning. Its nothing more than a decoration. I used to favor that title over the WWE Championship, now I can barely recognize it as a championship. Hell, the Champion...and I use that term very very loosely barely brings it with him anymore.

Because having two world titles makes the IC title the equivalent of the tv title or european title.

I haven't liked the belt since the classic IC belt was replaced with the belt that we currently see. It seemed like once the classic IC belt design changed, the prestige of having that title went with it.
