The Spinner belt has got to be the worst looking belt I have ever seen in my life. I have no idea why Vince or whoever would not want to use the classic 'Winged Eagle' I just wanna get an idea on how wrestling fans on this message board feel about this. This has actually become a major topic of discussion between wrestling fans around the internet and at live events. thanks for your time.

WWE has moved on from the Winged Eagle, Attitude Era and Undisputed Championship belts, yet people still think they will brought back. I'm sorry, but the classic Winged Eagle would look so out of place in the current WWE product. With all the HD hype, large entrances and over-the-top characters, WWE needs a belt to reflect the surroundings and that is the (Non) Spinner title. Just like when it comes to storylines and gimmicks dug up from the grave today, leave the Attitude era and all other 90's wrestling symbols where they should be, in the past. WWE is in a different generation/era (the Cena era, if you'd like to call it that) so the belt fits Cena's style perfectly. While it doesn't mesh with everyone else who carries it, it is now recognized as the WWE title and merchandise is still flying off the shelves for it, so it's going nowhere. Besides, if you're a true wrestling fan, your focus should be on the wrestlers themselves and the storylines/characters portrayed each week, not what leather strap with plates is being carried around. Belts really don't mean much at all anymore, so in a sense, if you find the WWE Spinner title to be a piece of crap, it most likely is in terms of its prestige. For all I care, Randy Orton could walk out there with a faux leather belt and if he put on a decent main event match, that's all that matters to me. Belts don't hold the same significance with me as they once did (especially when they were built to be something special), so I really don't care what WWE uses these days as long as some of the main event matches can make up for the cluster appearance of the Spinner belt. But, I get where everyone is coming from, as I would gladly welcome a new (similar to the Undisputed/Winged Eagle) design of a WWE title, but there is no need to dig up belts of the past as they simply don't fit in with the era in question.
