i was hoping somebody here can help me out we have a wireless router and my computer upstairs gets a signal off of it and i was wondering if i can hook my 360 up to my computer with a ethernet cable and still be able to do xbox live

You may able to use a Windows ICS connection, however it may not work since you don't have a built in modem. Your best bet would be to either get an Ethernet cable long enough to reach the wireless router or get the wireless adapter for the Xbox 360.

Yes. I do this. Hook the ethernet cable up to your 360. Go to your internet settings and find the Local area Network [connected to your 360] and your wireless network. click on both of them at the same time [click on one, and then hit shift and click on the other] and then right click and bridge the two connections, and bam. there you go.
