So this week I'm making the leap from PS3 (80GB from 2007) to the PS4. I plan on buying the system and a second controller. Any suggestions or tips to get the most out of the system? I'm a little sad to be leaving my PSN games but is rather upgrade when I can, and before my current system completely loses any value.

I'd recommend infamous: Second Son for sure, and Killzone too if you're into that. If you didn't play The Last of Us first time around then the Remastered PS4 version (out in America tomorrow) is surely a must. After that there are several good cross-platform games such as Watch Dogs. Big games coming out before the end of the year include Destiny, Assassins Creed: Unity and GTA V Remastered. There are loads of great games on PS4 - the only one I've bought that I was disappointed with was COD: Ghosts, which didn't seem improved for PS4 at all. Outside of games its great for stuff like Netflix. PS+ is great too (you need it to play online) and will give you a great return, especially as more and more games come out.

I wouldn't recommend Killzone Shadow Fall based on the reviews of it I've seen. The game looks pretty, but that's about it. As an Xbox guy I wouldn't really recommend Watch Dogs as it's kinda disappointing in some ways. Assassin's Creed Black Flag is great and Wolfenstein The New Order is great as well.

Thanks both fo the follow up. I did rather enjoy the first two inFamous games, so I think Second Son will have to be a pick up. However, I never got a chance to play The Last of Us, so I might have to pick that up. I never got into any of the previous Killzone games, but I did see it was fairly cheap at a local Gamestop location so I might give it a try. Has anyone tried out the EA UFC game yet? Or even the demo for that matter? Just wondering if it's woth a look.

TLOU and infamous should last you the rest of the summer depending on how much you play, and then there should be an influx of new games. Haven't played UFC since the very first one so can't comment on that.

I finished the Second Son story in about two or three days, and I'm not much of a gamer. It's fun for a while, but kind of repetitive, the boss battles are annoying rather than challenging, and I found it had lots of bugs... I only played it for three days and probably got trapped in about half a dozen walls and floors in that time. Personally, I wouldn't recommend paying anything like full retail price for it.
So far, it's the only PS4 game I've had (it was part of my bundle). I've sent it for a trade-in for The Last Of Us Remastered. I'm just looking forward to GTA 5, WWE and LBP3.

Anyone else with a PS4 find that its internet connection not only goes really slowly, but also hogs their entire bandwidth? Right now it's downloading a system update (which sadly seems to be like the PS3... Constantly needing updates, always slow as hell to download them), and I'm trying to watch Netflix at the same time on my PC and things are at 240p resolution. My internet isn't great these days, which doesn't help.

Takes a while to get used to/remember the controls but after that it gets pretty fun. And this is coming from someone who doesn't watch UFC.

It's fine with streaming but downloading stuff from PSN takes a million years.

Made the upgrade. Got a PS4, with a second controller, inFamous: Second Son, and EA UFC (because they were out of The Last of Us). Enjoying it so far, and can really notice the differences in how much faster the system processes, loads, and downloads as well.
It was quite nice to play a few games and watch some Netflix, all while still being able to download. At a decent speed, no less.
However, the Test Connection did inform me that I apparently don't have a fast enough connection for the Playstation Now streaming. I figure I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
Does anyone know if there's anyway to edit what shows up on your "Main Menu"? I'm never going to use Music Unlimited, so I wouldn't mind removing that if it's possible.

Got Second Son for my birthday and thus far I think it's pretty good. I love how mobile Delsin is. On the other hand, I think the combat was much more fun and easier to control with Cole in the previous games. It seems good, but I think inFamous 2 was better at this point.

Great, ANOTHER insanely awesome game to get hyped about. My hype meter has shattered and my wallet is a dust bowl.

I just upgraded to PS4 from Gamestop, they had a bundle for $399 that came with the console, Infamous Second Son, and a 3-month sub to PS+ and I also picked up MLB 2014 The Show. Not sure if this has anything to do with the Network being down but I am extremely put off by this install crap. I'm just trying to play an exhibition in The Show and everything has to be installed before I can even start a game and the install is slow as ; 14% after 20+ minutes. If this is how the process goes for every game I am going to be BEYOND PISSED.

Disc based games are faster than straight up downloading though.
