I am thinking of possibly buying a handheld system and am not sure which to get. I was thinking of a PSP just to download games on to it but obviously they fixed it and I would need to get an older version of it right? Plus I guess DS is what I need to get since it has the most games right?

DS hands down I am not debating which machine is technicly more powerful as hands down its the PSP. But if you want it for games then DS is the way to go. Also you can get a memory card for the DS that lets you download games similar to what you can do on the PSP. I own both systems and I can honestly say I have not played on my PSP for months probably wont until GOW is released.

Ask a DS owner and they'll swear their system is the best. Which it is...to them. I would go to Best Buy, Gamestop or any store that has them on display to test them out. Choose whichever one feels best and has the best games that appeal to you.

Seriously though, no one here can tell you. Not me, not anyone else, we get this topic all the time, and everyone has a different answer for different reason, whether it be educated on the topic, or just plain fanboy yelling because all they have is one or the other. I have both. I hardly ever touch my PSP these days. I have an iPod, so I don't need the video functions. And the only time I have the need for the video feature is when I'm flying, and even then I have a laptop, so all I base it on is games, and the PSP has very little I want to play. I own 4 PSP games, and 20 DS games. I play my DS every day, literally, because it has games that I really enjoy. You just have to base your desire on the functions you absolutely need in your life with a handheld, and that decisions should really be based solely on the the games in my opinion.

Yes I'm thinking of buying the PSP & DS. I have played both but they both seem just as good. I only got an MP3 player so videos would be in handy. I don't really know much for the DS games so if I could get some good information of the two that would be great.

DS has some great games. And if you're into all the Music/Movie stuff, there is an addon for the DS to play both.

Thanks. See I was set on getting a PSP but now I'm having second thoughts...But I like the graphics and stuff for the PSP. It's so hard to choose. EDIT: How exactly does that work. Do you just hook it up and stuff too add music/videos on then you can take it off or do you need to leave it on?

tbh I've played both and ds is fun for the first hour but psp is basically like walking around with a pocket size ps2, mp3 player, photo viewer and internet browser. I don't even see why people would choose ds, sure the games are fun but it still doesnt compare to psp.

I don't have a PSP or DS and I'm not a Sony or Nintendo fanboy, but I would say go with DS. There are plenty great games on it to play.
If not, you can be a complete rebel, and be a cool kid and get the N-Gage...I mean, it's even a PHONE!

DS. Call of Duty 4 is supposedly awesome, plus New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Smackdown vs. RAW, there's a lot of really good games on the DS. The PSP sucks after a while.

I love my DS a lot. The PSP is super cool looking, and lot of neat things, but if you really want to play some fun games, if you like weird stuff, there's Wario Ware, which will keep you busy for a long time, there's New Super Mario Bros, there's Phoenix Wright, I mean, honestly I have a lot of DS games and often I have a hard time deciding which one I want to play because there are so many good ones. PLUS if you never had an Advance, you can play all of those games too (providing you don't get one of the new ones without the advance slot).
