So can someone convicne me why I should shell out $250 or $400 for an Xbox 360?
I play mostly sports games. Is it worth the money or should i just stick with my XBOX? Also what's the differnece between the Regular 360 and the upgraded versions? Is an upgrade worth the extra cash? Thanks

If you mostly play sports games, then hell yes get it. IMO the 360 is the best system for sports games. Xbox Live is fantastic, so playing online sports game is great. And the upgrade is SO worth it. Much better games, graphics, gameplay...plus all the awesome extras like Marketplace and all that.
I'd say get it for sure.

thanks. but its all very technical to me. I'm not much on the online stuff. Does the 360 also double as a computer? It's all confusing and I have 2 weeks to decide

They're not meant to double as computers. You can't surf the web on a 360. You can buy TV Shows and rent Movies through Xbox Live and download demos and trailers and stuff. If you want to do that, then you're going to need a Premium or an Elite, since the Arcade only comes with a 256 MB memory card. The Elite has more Hard Drive space than the Premium, and is capable of more and larger downloads. Overall, the Premium is the best Value, since 120 GB is overkill, even if you're going to do a good amount of downloading. 20 GB will give you plenty of room to store you progress in your games as well as store your music for playback and a couple demos.

If you play sports games and you are thinking about playing online then I'd go with the 360. Playing Madden on live is pretty fun. The 360 also has plenty games out there besides sports that are just as or perhaps even more fun. I stuck with my Xbox till it broke about three months before Christmas and in a way I regret doing so.

Thanks everyone for your help. More than likely I'm going to get one. One more question. Does the Arcade have abuilt in Hard Drive like the old Xbox? Like i said i only play sports games, so do you think the Arcade version will give me enough memory space for football, basketball games , and maybe another title here and there? or should I shell the extra 100 for more memory. Also is playing online free? thanks

Online costs money, and the arcade pack only comes with a memory card unit which is just fine for playing games only. XBox Live is a dangerous game though, because it's so massive in what you can do on it. You can download games, download game add-ons, download movies, download TV Shows that you may eventually want to buy more memory. XBox hard drives are available separately though.

XBox hard drives are available separately though. Yeah, but at obscene prices. Considering that the cost of upgrading to a 20 GB hard drive ($100) is less than the price difference between the Arcade and Premium system ($70), it makes no sense to go to the Arcade system unless you aren't going to use Live.

Is it difficult to get on LIVE? does it cost money? I've never done the online thing so I dont know

Yes I said Nobody listens to J.J. 50 bucks for a year, 8 bucks for a month. You can connect via an ethernet cable plugged into your modem or router, or you could spend an additional 100 bucks and get a wireless adapter if you have a wireless modem.

Honestly, if you're only in it for sports games, get the PS3. People say the frame rate for Madden for the 360 is better, but it really doesn't matter. Plus you can get the superior baseball game for the PS3. And PS3 has bulit in wi-fi which means you won't need to spend $100 on a wireless adapter. And online is free. So honestly if you just play sports games, get the PS3.
