According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, a member of the Boston hardcore/metal band BURY YOUR DEAD was robbed in Milwaukee early today after performing at the Rave with HELLYEAH, MACHINE HEAD and NONPOINT.
The 23-year-old member of the band — said to be guitarist Eric Ellis — was sitting in a car at 12:30 a.m. when he was held up by five men, two with guns, police said. The bandmember, who was not identified, handed over a bag of jewelry, and the robbers fled from the lot, near N. 24th St. and W. Wisconsin Ave.
The musician gave chase and caught up with the robbers but was kicked by them, suffering a cut to the head, police said.
No one was arrested and police did not release a detailed description of the suspects. source: Blabbermouth

A lot of bands have been making myspace bulletins saying they were robbed in the past year, but I've never heard of at-gunpoint robberies, just van break-ins.

So he handed over a bag of jewelry, let them go, tried catching up with them, and then got kicked in the head? Good.

Yeah theres been a ton of bullcrap happening with non tour bus level bands. Suburban Legends (great ska band) got their van and trailer robbed and set on fire in Nebraska

That's not very straight edge. Huh? BYD isn't an edge band. They stayed with my friends one night in a dorm, got piss drunk, told some girls they were Hatebreed, took showers fully clothed, put makeup on each other and passed out. Also, Vio-lence > Machine Head.

So he handed over a bag of jewelry, let them go, tried catching up with them, and then got kicked in the head? Good. Exactly. I'd feel worse for him if he didn't CHASE people who had guns. What an idiot.
