Here's to hoping Penelope falls off. I can't see why it won't, it opened at #8 and it's at it's widest release. Not to mention next week 3 new films will open in the top 10.

I wonder if America is beginning to enter into the early stages of Will Ferrell burn out?

lol. Some movie guy predicted Semi-Pro would open at like 41 million. So, it looks like it bombed.

There Will Be Blood gone. I know Cool to see No Country back up there. I knew Semi Pro would take #2 but I thought it would get maybe 30 million.

Semi-Pro looked weak. And Ferrells new movie with John C. Reilley looks even weaker. I don't know why he is going into the realm of white-trash comedy. Next thing you know it you'll be seeing him doing movies with Larry the Cable Guy. He is better than the movies he has been putting out.
I loved A night at the Roxbury, Old School, Elf, Stranger than fiction, and Anchorman. But lately his movies have been looking a bit lame. I still think he is hilarious though. Just really bad movie choices. But that seems to be the trend for "The Frat Pack" i.e. Drillbit Taylor.

The fact that Step Up 2 is even on that thing makes me doubt that movies will be good because they are popular. Just because it is one of Farrells worst opening wise doesnt mean the movie will be bad.

Anchorman got #2 on it's opening weekend making $28,416,365. Just because a movie doesn't make a lot doesn't mean its bad. Most of its from bad marketing. Although I have yet to see this so I can't fully judge it yet. I'm doubting Ferrel is good, but I want to see based off it's supporting cast.
