Why hasn't Kurt Cobain been added into it?
He passed away 1994 and is 100% a Rocker! we all know.
This would be a good time to do it since he is getting the shoe things released sometime soon...

It hasn't been 25 years since Nirvana's first release. It has to be 25 years since an artist's first release to warrant induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
Nirvana's first release was 1989's "Bleach". They would be elligible for the Hall Of Fame in 2014.
Also, why would he be inducted on his own? For the most part, everything he did for music was done with Nirvana. If he were to be inducted, odds are it would be as part of Nirvana. Don't belittle the talents of Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl. I like Kurt Cobain too, but I don't look at him as if he were a god. No. Henry Rollins is that guy.

There is this awesome site that tells you everything about the hall of fame. It lets you know who is in and when they were inducted (and in certain cases who inducted them). They have everyone who was eligible in certain years and have not made it in yet. And they also have a list of years for the future inductees and when they are eligible. It is: www.futurerockhall.comIt is really a great site to kill some time on. As they said before Nirvana is eligible in 2014 along with Green Day. When I was looking into who wasn't inducted I came across this site and was blown away at who is not in the HOF. I am simply shocked Metallica did not make it in on their first ballot. A few others that I am surprised are not in are: Rush, Alice Cooper, Derek and the Dominos, Jethro Tull and Genesis! Unbelivable!

He means the two things have nothing to do with each other, genius. Yes it does. Since for the People who have forgotten Kurt Cobain will remember him when his new shoes come out and so if he was to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year or Next. More people would understand and look him up and Etc.. Etc..

Kurt has no business going in by himself, if he gets in as a member of Nirvana thats fine, but it seems like some people forget that Nirvana was more than just him, Krist and Dave contributed a lot to the band.

Because a shoe was released, a bunch of people who forgot about Kurt are gonna say: "Hey, he made some average sounding music, LET'S PUT 'EM IN DA HALL OF FAME!"

If Kurt and Nirvana get in Green Day better get in, all they did was deliver album after album of great tunes, and shape a generation of bands. People say "pop punk" like its a bad thing, its not. Sure, it might not be a hard edged as punk, but it doesn't take away from the fact that the songs are good, and Green Day puts on one of the best live shows you will ever have the fortune to see.
