I've always been about metal, but some rap is cool... mainly old school.

I don't consider either to be a favorite genre of mine, but I like much more rap than I like metal.

I prefer just good 'ol fun rock 'n' roll, but since metal is kinda in that catagory I'll pick that. Rap is a form of music I've never really enjoyed outside of The Beastie Boys, (old) Eminem, a few Dr. Dre tracks, and that song Informer by Snow. Besides what I've mentioned I can live without it.
Metal and Rap are both fads anyway. Metal had it's time in the mid-80's-mid'90's and rap will fade away too. But the roots of each genre will always be around I.E. rock 'n' roll and basic dance music.

I like some rap, I can't stand metal. Exactly what I was gonna say. I only like the chill-out, mellow sort of rap like Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Gym Class Heroes if you can call that rap.

Only rapper I like is Eminem, only metal artists I like are Metallica and Pantera. So metal, but not a huge fan of either.

Before I ever read the options, I thought to myself: "Metal FTW!".
So yeah, that's what I'm voting for.

But the roots of each genre will always be around I.E. rock 'n' roll and basic dance music. Considering that rap originated in the seventies and has taken over as America's popular music, I'm not so sure that it's just a fad..
