i never saw the movie, but double dragon was such a great game And such a horrible movie. Even a hot post-apocalyptic Alyssa Milano and an especially sinister Robert Patrick couldn't save it.

It doesn't matter, they all suck. The only exceptions would be the Mario Bros. movie and "The Wizard."

Every once in a while, this topic about gaming movies pops up, and in response, I always post one picture and one picture only:

They really should stop making video game movies they're all terrible.
I will say Dennis Hopper ruled as King Koopa.

I enjoyed the Tomb Raider movies. Final Fantasy Advent Children was okay.
The one i really, really want to see as a movie is Final Fantasy X. I think that would be amazing!

most are terrible, but resident evil was ok (only ok) and super mario brothers is a pretty good childrens fantasy adventure
for the most part tho, whether the movie is good or not is all down to the people who make it, rather than the actual game's story/content. same with comic book movies. they CAN be incredible. but also can be predictable, shallow, badly casted, and using a generic hollywood formula. sadly the latter is the more common in my opinion.
I'd love to see a (Super) Metroid movie and Zelda (Link To The Past) movie, done right without using the predictable/generic hollywood formulas (which i HATE) they could be incredible. they also have to be fairly faithful to the game, but i have no objection to some creative liscense
