Anyone see this yet? Im going tonight. I have heard nothing but good things about it. I love Kings movie, and Thomas Jane is a great actor, imo. Should be a good movie.

And the most messed up ending you'll ever see.

Most of hte movies based upon his work are pretty good usually. At the same time this is the same director as Shawshank Redemption so it had better be at least suspensful. From what i read he is a junkie for the old school horror genres so we can only hope.

I'm pretty excited to see it, but to be honest, I'm not expecting much out of it. I'm not a huge fan of King's work, despite him being a fellow Mainer. It looks a lot like "The Fog" if you ask me, but I'm sure it will be far better than that.

From what I've heard it's one of the best horror films since John Carpenter's The Thing, which is one of my personal favorites. I'll be seeing it pretty soon, once I can get out to see it.

I saw it...I didn't think it was as great as some of the reviews would leave you to believe, but with that said it wasn't horrible either. I need to see it again.

I want to see it since Frank Darabont's incredible, and everyone's raving about the ending. Looking forward to see what it's all about.

The ending was semi-realistic, but that doesn't take away from it being ' ed up'.

I saw this earlier this afternoon and it was sooooo good. A lot better than the previews make it out to be. The camera work of the movie was really well done, I liked a lot of the techniques they used. The plot of the movie was very well written out and there were a lot of twists and turns to keep your attention to each scene. I loved all of the character/friendship development that was made for each person, especially because of the envirement they ended up in where they had to meet new people, work together, and choose sides. The CGI creatures were ing AWESOME looking, I'm glad they actually showed them and not just a damn tentacle like it shows in the previews. The turnout of why "The Mist" is there is really cool, I just wish a bit more details were provided about it. The only flaw I found in the movie was the ending which was VERY unnecessary and I didn't even expect to see something of that calibur being placed in this movie..maybe in one of Rob Zombie's films but not this one.

Is the ending the same as in the novella? From what I heard, since I didn't read the book, no. It's changed pretty drasticly. Let's just say the movie takes the story further that the end of the book. That still doesn't change the fact that the end is just so ed up.

I saw it yesterday and it was awesome. The Shermanator was in it for godsake. The CGI didn't look too realistic but that doesnt matter. The ending was so depressing
