Animosity was great. But check out "Seasons" as well. It was pretty awesome. from that album I really dig Enemy Broken Down Skeleton Song and you may want to check out Southside Double Wide Acoustic Live. It's really good as well. Some great acoustic versions of some of their songs.

I'll go after the Alt Rock...
I see one song by Pixies on there. They are a terrific band. If you haven't heard their albums Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, and Trompe Le Monde, you should. They are all great albums. All of which I could listen to all the way through. Their best-of is nowhere near good enough compared to their full albums. They also have some good songs on their B-Sides collection, like the UK Surf version of "Wave Of Mutilation", "Winterlong", and "Santo", those are a few of my favorites off that. The other albums I listed are excellent all the way through.
The one L7 song reminds me of something I heard on the radio once. I heard this on the now defunct MN alt station Drive 105, one of my favorite transition into a next song ever. The DJ said "Anyone remember "Riot Grrl" bands? Here's L7".
Anyway, other stuff I like, in the area of Alt-Rock, Punk, & Indie...
The Replacements Rilo Kiley Smashing Pumpkins Alkaline Trio Minor Threat Black Flag Rancid Arcade Fire The Shins
I could name a lot more good groups, but I'm kinda tired.

Rage against the Machine The Ramones Nirvana Coheed and Cambria Slayer Sex Pistols The killers Mudvayne
So many to name, just explore.
Also as I see The Misfits I would get mommy can I go out and kill tonight, and maybe the monster mash.
Get black sunshine, Living Dead Girl, and Thunderkiss 65 as you have Rob Zombie on listed.
Also tons of RHCP songs like suck my kiss, and give it away are good.
