Firstly, Scott misses the show last week. He's been talking about STP reuniting for some time now. Libertad did pretty horrible, so did the concert sales. And even from Scott himself.. "....as was Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver rocker Scott Weiland, who told us that we should be on the lookout for an STP reunion in the coming months." blogs.herald.com/scene_in_the_tr … ala-r.html Also Scott may have been annoyed by Slash for sticking by Axl in his book about the 2006 press release. In all honestly, VR isn't going to achieve much more, Duff isn't happy, Scott is home in STP -- and it's goddamn STP. I'll be there first in line. Rejoice.

I'm a bigger fan of Velvet Revolver than STP, but a bigger GNR fan than Velvet Revolver.
To be honest, I thought it was inevitable that the band would fall apart soon. I thought both albums were excellent and VR was tremendous live, but it was just a matter of time before everyone's egos got in the way. This same thing happens whenever bands such as Velvet Revolver form, consisting of musicians with already well-established careers.
I'm not saying they're officially over just yet, but yeah...it definitely doesn't look good.

I have a feeling we are going to see the reunion of old school GNR. I heard Duff has been talking to Axl.

I have a feeling we are going to see the reunion of old school GNR. I heard Duff has been talking to Axl. All I know is Duff isn't musically where he wants to be with VR or with Weiland, he said so to Classic Rock. However, I havent heard anything about Duff talking to Axl. Plus a classic GNR reunion would have to be after Chinese Democracy, which again, may or may not come out this year.

A) Id bring STP back and make VR a once in a while thing. Velvet Revolver is AMAZING, but its ing STP man. B)Whatever gets Chinese Decmocracy out faster. Although with all the hate I dont see a True Classic GnR reunion. Maybe a few members, but like I dont see Slash returning.

I need the DeLeo brothers to start making great music again, with or without Weiland.

Velvet revolver has been really underwhelming... two really generic records. They never really released a record, or even a song that really made you go "wow"... They're just a really generic band. Good musicians do not always make a great band, Slash is undoubtedly a great guitarist, I think Duff is one of the most underrated bass players around... Matt Sorum is solid on drums, and Weiland is a decent vocalist, albeit with a very limited range, and a thin voice these days... but like a sports team, assembling the best players doesn't always make the best team.
I'd prefer to see STP reunite than have VR around... VR doesn't really do anything for me. However, I don't see an original GNR reunion ever happening, so what would probably happen is they would just replace Weiland with another vocalist and continue...

I'm a bigger fan of Velvet Revolver than STP... Same here. So I can't really say I'm too happy. I'm just glad I was able to see them live last month.

As for the original GNR reuniting, I would never have thought it possible.....UNTIL I saw david lee roth reunite with the van halen brothers. I will never say never again!

As much as I love STP, I feel that whatever could have been done with them has already been. VR still has promise...well, I said the same thing about Audioslave three albums (four if you count their live one) ago, and you know how that turned out. "Come On, Come In" is my favorite VR track.
