I guess some would say Metallica, or Pearl Jam, who knows. I think the world's most monumental bands have been from overseas. We Americans are a bang-bang-bang kind of society, and recording artists reflect that. We're always looking for the next big thing, and to make a quick buck. Hence why so many of those American Idol people are in and out before you know it. Artists are shuffled in, and out as soon as something else comes along, making it hard for most of them to leave a lasting impression.
