anyone else enjoy his music today?
i think its sad to see some of todays ''artists'' and how they compare to lennon. what a great man he was- society wouldnt be as corrupt if he was here. sounds niave right? but i really believe he had a huge huge impact on people and could have been really influential on the youth of the world. now we have rap music- which is the single worst thing in the world besides the war and sex crimes. the message that is sent it horrible.
whatever happened to making constructive that affected people in a positive way?
lennon>2008

Lame. Plastic Ono Band is real cathartic crap, but overall I'd rather just listen to the Beatles.

"It's a beautiful song, and I wish I never wrote it." -Lennon, on "Yesterday."

John Lennon is missed by me everyday. I listen to some era of his music everyday. He will be missed by me until I die. You should pick up some of his poetry. I found a book with his little stories and drawing in it. Very funny stuff. Especially Wumberlog(or the magic dog.)

John Lennon is one of my all time favorite musicians, mainly because I love The Beatles. I haven't nearly enough of his solo material besides the popular songs, unfortunately.

That memorial in Strawberry Fields is gorgeous. The odd part is a sign that says "No musical instruments allowed." Because I'm sure Lennon would have HATED people playing music around him.
Either way, I love John Lennon. I'm probably a bigger fan of the Beatles than Lennon in terms of music, but no one can touch what Lennon himself meant and what he stood for. The fact that his message is still being carried on today is remarkable. It may never be achieved, but it's still nice to see the signs of "War is over...if you want it."
