Rise Against - These guys play their asses off for the entire set and sound amazing live. Pure energy and heart.Green Day - If you want to go to a big time theatrical rock show catch Green Day, they play tunes from all of their albums and put on one hell of a show. Beat Union - This band is just now starting to tour over here and they go out like they have something to prove. Great banter on stage and the bass player jumps around the stage like a ing loon, and these cats are cool as hell and don't mind chatting with the fans after the set. Silvertide - If you dig classic rock sounding bands check these guys out, and expect Walt (the lead singer) to go completely ape **** and put on one hell of a show. I was def gonna say Rise Against.

I kinda have complaints about most acts I've seen live. Guns N' Roses in 2006 was probably the best I've seen. Axl had his **** together, the band was tighter than I've seen them(I've never seen the original lineup), and the set was solid. Avenged Sevenfold puts on a nice show, but the set is usually too short. When they ended their show, I was like... "Was that it?..." However, the tickets were like 35 bucks... so I guess you get what you pay for. Van Halen this time around is really tight. On the last Sammy Tour, Eddie was a mess... This time around he really has his **** together. While not perfect vocally, Dave gets the job done, and performs the songs you would expect them to hear. My one complaint about Bon Jovi is the fact that Jon can't sing most of the really popular songs in the key they are supposed to be sung, some of them he doesn't sing at all. All things considered, he isn't that old yet, and his voice should be in a little better shape. You kinda have to be into the newer stuff(which I am) to really enjoy a current show, because the classic stuff is really toned down and flat sounding. I've always gotten the feeling that Jon Bon Jovi is slightly turned off by his 80's days. I get the feeling that he changes the old songs around to try to modernize them to fit what he's doing now. Yeah, but people pay money to see your hit songs. It would be like Van Halen touring without playing "Jump" and "Panama"... I'm not saying they were bad live, because I enjoyed myself, but the show just seemed a little too toned down for me.

Stop rubbing in the fact that you saw Elton John live you bastard. He still tours some. You can still see him one day! I saw him in 1994 I think. It was on the tour for "The One." It was in an outdoor ampitheater, and it rained like hell the entire concert. It sucked at first, but once you were soaked, it kind of added to the fun. Everyone was soaked, and singing their asses off. Riding home soaking wet sucked ass though. Honestly, I highly recommend anyone seeing him. The guy has so many great songs, it doesn't even make sense. He didn't play Crocodile Rock though. He also does a dual tour with Billy Joel, which is supposed to be awesome, but it kind of sucks, because each of them can do a 3 hour show. My next goal is to catch a Springsteen concert. Not the biggest fan, but his shows are supposed to be amazing. Believe me, next time he tours and hits MSG I AM ING THERE.

megadeth and slayer are amazing
Children of Bodom are fantastic
Alice Cooper steals the show though, he totally owns the stage!

I'm sure Flight of the Conchords are great live too, if you're into that sort of thing.

Shadows Fall and Machine Head certainly know how to put a concert on. From what I've seen, and will see tomorrow, Dillinger Escape Plan are stone throwingly mental live.
