*Segment #1* (3 Minutes) Overhaul Arrives…
Overhaul is seen getting out of a car with his attorney at his side. They’re looking to get right down to business with Ozzy Mac and Drew Cordeiro. Suddenly Ozzy Mac appears and cuts them off as the walk up the driveway towards the DEW/XWA yard.
“Your kind ain’t welcome around these parts”
says Ozzy in a mocking hick accent. Overhaul’s attorney starts to argue and Ozzy cuts him off
“I don’t care what you have to say, DEW doesn’t need Overhaul. We’re packed with young talent from all over the world! So just turn your asses around to wherever the hell you came from because there’s no room for inflated egos in the Dynasty Era of backyard wrestling. Just pretend that it’s closing time. You don’t have to go home but YOU CAN’T STAY HERE!”
Overhaul and his attorney stomp back to their car and speed off…
*Segment #2* – (22 minutes)
AMP & Jason Styles vs. ?
The camera fades in on an even MORE improved DEW arena, most notably the ring base now has posts and ropes, stairs, and guardrail barriers. The Mt. Dew DYNASTY ERA banner drops across the entranceway as some budget priced pyro goes off. AMP and Styles hit the ring together and coordinating in matching DEW gear. AMP is throwing MDX drinks to the fans and Styles is wearing a protective mask over his injured nose.
Mercury enters and announces that he’s recruited a fellow Canadian to assist him in finishing off what started with Styles’ nose. Aaron Shane bursts through the curtain and they hit the ring together.
AMP and Styles control the match early until AMP misses an ill advised split legged moonsault, which allows the Canucks to take control. They work on AMP and Mercury taunts Styles to distract the ref, giving them the advantage to double team AMP. At one point, Styles evades the ref and rushes at Aaron Shane, but Shane leapfrogs him and Styles runs into the opposing corner. Mercury snatches the mask from his face and Styles turns around to Aaron Shane hitting the “I’m punching you in the face” Lariat. Once again, Styles’ face explodes in blood and he rolls out. Suddenly, Aaron Shane turns around to AMP spitting a mouthful of Mt. Dew in his face. This distraction allows AMP to set up for a spinout Towerhacker bomb and score the three count.
AMP & Styles via pinfall @ 16:14
After the match, AMP assists Styles into the back while trying to sop up the blood from his busted nose.
*Segment #3* – (6 Minutes) - Heeeeere’s DREW~!
Drew walks on camera and appears agitated. He’s concerned with Ozzy Mac’s decision to eject Overhaul from the arena without even giving him a chance to speak his mind. He emphasizes that he agrees with Ozzy that there’s no place for ego’s in DEW but he also feels that as commissioner, he cannot do what’s best for the company without having complete control. That’s why he just got off the phone with the executives from Mt. Dew and Ozzy Mac has been relieved of his duties with DEW!
He then moves on to talking about the “Grand Championship” match coming up between Acejack and Skye Bynes. He gives no new information about this mysterious title by saying that once someone fights their way to the championship, it will revolutionize the way people view titles in BYW. This champion will be able to solidify themselves as a backyard legend…
*Segment #4* – (19 Minutes) – Grand Champion?
AceJack vs. Skye Bynes
The match begins with AceJack in control and he’s gaining momentum early. He tries to finish off Skye early with an EKK but Skye reverses out and hits a chop blocks. Skye taunts the fans as he slows the match down, hitting his trademark legdrops and continuously working the knee. He loses focus for a moment after a supposed slow count after he hit his Sexy Yellow Squash Bomb. This leaves him open to a vicious forearm from Acejack. Acejack picks Skye up, Skye slaps him away and turns back to the ref to complain about Acejack’s use of the hair to pick him up. Acejack hits him with a Bridging German for the pinfall.
AceJack via pinfall @ 14:49
After the match, as Acejack’s hand is raised by the referee, Skye chop blocks the knee once more and leaves Acejack writhing in pain in the ring.
*Segment #5* – (10 Minutes)
Tommy Flambeau vs. Zayne
They start off showing respect for one another in the opening chain. They really have each other’s number as each time one goes for a hold, it seems the other is ready with a reversal. The match doesn’t get far beyond this point before Cruiserfan makes his way down to ringside. Zayne takes a wicked indy kick that sends him hurling back into the corner. Cruiserfan shows little consideration for the match going on, or the “art of cheating” as Tommy Flambeau turns around to a face full of chair.
Tommy Flambeau via DQ @ 6:04
After the match, Cruiserfan reveals that he plans to make an example out of Tommy Flambeau and the rest of the “dentally correct” Americans, presumably due to the fact that Flambeau has the nicest teeth in the country (a total contradiction to the busted grills that he’s accustomed to). He goes on to say that in order for Mr. Flambeau to have any chance at defeating him, he’d better start spending at least half the time he spends on hygiene on becoming a GOOD WRESTLER! He doesn’t forget to mention that he will once again return to the UK immediately to spare himself the anguish of spending any more time in the states than he must. (He travelled a long way for a run in on a meaningless match, huh?)
*Segment #6* – (6 Minutes) – Drew me like you should…
Drew is back on the mic, and this time he gets right to the point and reiterates the fact that he will award the DEW World Title immediately following the main event match between Zeus McFly and Ruzty. He goes on to emphasize that this match will weigh heavily on his decision and mentions that he’s in the mood to see someone get lit on fire. Therefore, he’s decided to open things up a bit and make it a No DQ, No Countout, Pinfalls count anywhere match. He leads them to believe that the fire could be more crucial than the match winner since he wants HIS champion to be someone who can deliver exactly what HE wants to see.
And since many people have been questioning his tournament, he confirms the fact that no details will be revealed about this title until someone earns the tentative title of GRAND CHAMPION. To do this, a superstar must defeat his three hand chosen opponents. AceJack moved one step closer with his victory over Skye Bynes and therefore, he’ll be fighting for all the marbles next week, where he will face the winner of Anarchy Andy and Kombination Kombat Kid, coming up next…
*Segment #7* – (19 Minutes)
Anarchy Andy vs. Kombination Kombat Kid)
A match that many have died to see features KKK cowering away to open the match. He doesn’t want to lock up with Andy from the start, and so he attempts a strong lariat to open the match which is quickly countered by Andy into a neckbreaker. From there, Andy flips around a bit and sets up for what looks to be a quick finish. He sets up from the top rope and goes for a 450 but KKK does a kip up and HEY~! KKK goes for a quick pinfall…..1………..2……….NO! KKK then begins to ascend the turnbuckle towards the top rope when Andy springs up and follows him right up to the top. Andy locks in for a dragon suplex from the top, but somehow KKK manages to flip himself and come down directly on Andy’s head with the internal bleeding (moonsault double knee)….1……….2……….
AGAIN, Andy kicks out. KKK seems rather frustrated as he brings Andy back to his feet. He dishes out his version of the Kenta combo, unleashing some stiff headbutts that leave Andy dead on his feet. He backs up to charge up for the kill shot, but as he comes back in for a huge lariat once more, Andy again reverses into another nasty neckbreaker. Andy gathers himself and sets up KKK for the J-driller. It looks like KKK was going to reverse into a backbody drop but Andy holds on and hits a flipping J-Driller! He goes for the pin….1………2……………
3!!!
Anarchy Andy via pinfall @ 16:35
Anarchy Andy rolls out of the ring pleased with his victory. He leaves the ringside area with his sights set on AceJack and the “Grand Championship”
*Segment #8* – ( 35 Minutes) – RED HOT MAIN EVENT ACTION~!
Zeus McFly vs. Ruzty
Zeus looks determined to impress in his first official appearance in DEW, and the request of Drew to “heat things up” only makes him more anxious to get things underway. For this reason, he cuts off Ruzty halfway down the aisle to the ring. Ruzty is turned playing to the crowd and Zeus lays him out with a headbutt to the back of the head. The match gets underway as Zeus pulls a can of gasoline out from under the ring immediately. He goes at Ruzty who hits a drop toehold that sends Zeus headfirst onto the gas can. Ruzty applies a STF but it’s clear that Zeus won’t be tapping out tonight. He manages to break the hold with a well placed thumb to the eye, and then retreats back to the ring.
As the match continues back and forth in the ring, Drew appears with Big Al and they make their way to the ringside area, briefcases in hand. Drew looks on with a rather uninterested grin and Zeus immediately plays to Drew. “You want me to LIGHT THIS ER UP?” Drew nods with approval as Zeus goes back to the outside after the gas can. He turns around to Ruzty suicide diving through the ropes, but Zeus raises the gas can enough to line it up with the incoming Ruzty. His head ricochets off of the can and he appears to be down and out. Zeus opens the can and begins to drench Ruzty in gas. He reaches into a nearby trashcan where he has obviously staged a stick with a rag, to be used to ignite Ruzty. Just as he lights the stick, the masked mystery man (who assisted Big Al last show) storms through the curtain and blasts a mouthful of flammable material right at the stick, which results in a huge fireball that engulfs Zeus’s head. A flaming Zeus stumbles back onto Ruzty and both men become swallowed up by flames. As the two of them fight to extinguish the flames, they hurry towards the back and Drew and Al get up in the ring.
No Contest @ 20:14
Drew and Al invite the masked man into the ring, where Drew encourages him to remove his mask. Al assists him with the mask and to the surprise of the crowd, Ruthlezz is revealed to be Drew and Al’s mystery ally. Drew begins to speak about the serious thought that has gone into his decision as far as who should be the first ever DEW champion. He turns to Ruthlezz, but is then interrupted by Overhaul’s music playing over the PA system. Overhaul comes down to ringside with his attorney at his side. They enter the ring and it’s clear that they mean business. The attorney gets up in Drew’s face and begins to speak:
“I’m outraged at th…”
Drew cuts him off immediately and seems very pissed. He reminds everyone of the consequences for interrupting him. Out of nowhere, Ruthlezz grabs the attorney and locks on a cobra clutch. Almost immediately and simultaneously, Drew decks the attorney while Big Al whacks Ruthlezz with their briefcases. In a surprising twist, Overhaul picks them both up; one with each hand around the throat, and hurls the two of them out of the ring. When he turns around, Big Al opens his briefcase to present Overhaul with the DEW World Championship. Drew extends his hand and Overhaul accepts the title as Drew raises his hand victoriously. The show leaves the air…
