"Not much is known about the upstart UWF. They have scheduled a live PPV for June 25th, as per indemand.com, but no venue has been announced, and no names have been attatched to the project except for Chris Jericho. I've heard that there is some real money attatched to this project, but money marks often cringe at the prices attatched to a wrestling company." -wrestlingobserver.com

"BIG news update today. The UWF has booked it's main event for it's 6/25 PPV, called Championship Collision. For the vacant UWF World Title, Chris Jericho will be making his in-ring return against IWGP Champion Brock Lesnar. It will be Lesnar's first match in the US since WrestleMania XX against Goldberg. Speaking of Goldberg, he will also be appearing on the show, at this point, likely wrestling Tank Abbott, although the UWF hasn't confirmed this. At this point, it is still early, but the only announced matches for the PPV are Jericho vs. Lesnar, Chris Kanyon vs. Diamond Dallas Page, and direct from CMLL, a 2/3 Falls Trios match. Los Guerreros del Infeirnales and Mephisto vs. Mistico, Ricky Marvin, and Volador Jr."

Alexis Laree and Victoria vs. Minnesota Homewrecking Crew.
In this DVD-Only bonus match, the crowd didn’t seem to be into it as much as you’d think, with two young and up and coming superstars against two ex-WWE workers. But the girls worked hard and put on a decent match. Lacey pulled off a huge upset with her Implant DDT on Victoria. Easily the biggest win she’s ever had. She didn’t have much time to enjoy it, as Nidia made her UWF debut after the match, attacking both Lacey and Rain with a Steel Chair. I’m sure Rain and Lacey especially won’t forget their moment getting ruined. 1/4*
Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, and Mephisto vs. Mistico, Ricky Marvin, and Volador Jr.
The action in this match was extremely fast and furious. Unfortunately, with none of the luchadores having American reputations, the crowd didn’t react to the flow of the match near as much as the promotion would’ve liked. Mephisto won the first fall for the rudos by pinning Ricky Marvin after a tombstone. El Faul! The rudos didn’t have much time to celebrate the victory, as Volador caught Mephisto off guard with a Spinning Hurricanrana to win the second fall, and shortly afterwards, Mistico wins by locking Ultimo into the La Mistica and getting the submission. The match felt rushed but was very fast and very crisp. * 3/4
Tank Abbott comes out, and gets the mic. Talks about how there’s no one tough enough to take on an Ultimate Fighter like Tank. That these pro wrestlers are just imitators, wanting to do what he does every night, and that’s bust heads, and that if there’s anyone in the UWF that wants some, he’s standing right in the middle of the ring. However, as the Tron started to flash Choose Death, it became obvious who was on his way to the ring. Tank Abbott’s challenge is accepted, and how, as it’s the insane Necro Butcher doing the answering!
Tank Abbott vs. Necro Butcher.
Necro takes Tank down, and locks on the Asiatic Spike... and gets the tapout! 1/4* After the match, Tank tried to get his revenge, sneak attacking Necro and hitting him with his big right hand, knocking Necro out of the ring onto the concrete floor. Necro Butcher might’ve been the winner tonight, but he sure didn’t look like it afterwards.
Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. El Hijo Del Santo.
This was a really good back and forth match. Santito tried to outwrestle Tajiri while Tajiri felt his strikes was the way to victory. However, a missed tope by Tajiri was all it took, Santo threw him back into the ring, locked on the La De a Caballo, and got the quick tapout! After the match, Tajiri held out his hand for a shake…. And Santito shakes it! A fine showing of sportsmanship to finish a fine match. ***
Chris Kanyon vs. Diamond Dallas Page. You could argue this is the same match they’ve probably wrestled many times, but it’s always been a good match. DDP controlled most of it, but never underestimate cheating. Kanyon won with Kanyon Cutter after a low blow. After the match, he got the hell out of dodge as fast as he possibly could. **
Mark Magnus vs. D'Lo Brown.
This match never really had the chance to get started. The Foundation, Harry Smith, TJ Wilson, and Jack Evans made themselves known early on. With the match not having gone very long at all, Harry distracted D’Lo enough for Magnus to hit the Flatliner, and then the Cobra Clutch. After the match, the Foundation seemed to give Magnus a knowing nod, but he didn’t react towards them one way or the other. Regardless, they continued the beat down of Brown after the match. *
Goldberg vs. Bob Sapp.
This was the match of the night, hands down. Maybe it was no one had expectations, but these two hosses put together a great brawl, and the crowd just ate it up. Sapp controlled the majority of the match, until it looked like Goldberg was going to hit his big comeback… but he went for the spear, and Sapp CAUGHT Goldberg. Goldberg had never been manhandled like that. A Beast Bomb, and it was all it wrote. But Sapp wasn’t done, and delivered 2 additional Bombs after the match. I can’t think of anytime Goldberg had ever lost so convincingly. ****
Chris Jericho vs. Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar asked to be introduced from Tokyo, Japan and came out in a traditional Japanese robe, along with tights with the emblem of the Rising Sun(think MVC in WCW). Lesnar might’ve been jetlagged, or maybe this match just didn’t click. But it disappointed a lot of people. A missed Verdict, and Jericho was able to sweep the legs and get the Walls of Jericho applied for the victory. As Jericho was celebrating with the World Title, Bob Sapp attacked him from behind. Sapp grabbed the microphone and told him he was just “Holding the Beast’s belt”, and then delivered a Beast Bomb onto the title belt. He grabbed the belt held it up in defiance, and then dropped it on Jericho’s prone body. * 1/2

You're an upstart promotion with Jericho, Goldberg, and Bob Sapp?
That's when I stopped reading.

That is the most bizarre roster I have ever seen. The diary is very good though. It's great that it is so different from every other roster in a diary that is posted here, very original.

You're an upstart promotion with Jericho, Goldberg, and Bob Sapp? That's when I stopped reading. "I've heard that there is some real money attatched to this project"- first post... that's kind of my catch all as far as name talent goes. That is the most bizarre roster I have ever seen. The diary is very good though. It's great that it is so different from every other roster in a diary that is posted here, very original. I'm unafraid to admit it, I've always been a HUGE WCW mark. And there's a lot of it in the way I try to book this... I loved when they'd bring in the most random of guys, like bringing over a huge amount of tag teams for an international tournament, or putting like Bobby Eaton into a Lucha six man tag for apparently no reason. I just loved the randomness of... Mike Graham coming on Nitro to challenge Dean Malenko for the Cruiserweight Title. So that's kind of my booking inspiration. WCW with better main events and a lack of politics.

"The UWF, days after having Championship Collision, surprises us again, as they are going to start doing weekly PPVs, every Wednesday night. If this sounds familiar, it probably is. They're also apparently contacting several big companies around the world trying to bring in tag teams." -wrestlingobserver.com
"ANNOUNCED FOR THE FIRST WEDNESDAY PPV! Bob Sapp and Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg and Chris Jericho! The man who calls himself the "Uncrowned World Champion" and the IWGP Champion team up to take on the UWF World Champion and the former WWE and WCW World Champion Goldberg! Who will come out on top in this epic tag team match?
The Foundation vs. D'Lo Brown and 2 Partners of his choice! After costing Brown the North American Title at Championship Collision, D'Lo has promised he'll have 2 old friends in town to help him take care of Harry Smith, TJ Wilson, and Jack Evans.
Lacey vs. Nidia! No DQ! After Nidia's attack on the Minnesota Homewrecking Crew last week, Lacey has said she wants Nidia in the ring, and with no Disqualifications. Will this be of her advantage, or will it blow up in her face?
The first 4 teams of the 16 team World Tag Cup for the UWF World Tag Team Titles will be announced... but who will make the announcement? UWF will unveil their new Authority figure, as well!
All this and much more!" -uwfwrestling.com

Mephisto vs. Mistico.
This was an extremely fast paced opener that got the crowd going. Mistico’s highspots seemed to move at a faster speed than light, and the crowd ate that up. However, in the end, Mephisto hit Mistico with a low blow, el faul, behind the referees back and then rolled him up in a la magistral for the quick victory. * 3/4
The lights dimmed, and when they come back on, there’s someone in the middle of the ring. A quiet murmur goes over the crowd, and it’s Don “The Jackyl” Callis! Some people recognized him from his work in WWE, TNA, or ECW… and those that didn’t were about to get a treat. He is the head of the UWF Championship Committee, and has some very important announcements. First thing first, tonight, New Japan Pro Wrestling has refused to let Brock Lesnar compete in tonight’s main event. However, UWF has promised a big return to the ring by a former WWE and WCW World Champion to take his place. The fans will not be disappointed. Speaking of tonight’s main event, in two weeks, Bob Sapp will take on Chris Jericho for the UWF World Title! That will be a huge main event. Also, UWF will be having the UWF World Tag Cup to determine the first UWF World Tag Team Champions. There is no set timetable for this tournament, due to the participants commitments, not ONLY abroad, but also in the United States and Mexico. But tonight, 4 teams will be announced for the tournament. The other 12 teams are still being negotiated, but will be announced over the next week on uwfwrestling.com. But that’s the next week. From CMLL in Mexico, Rey Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero, Los Guerreros del Infeirnal, from Canada, UWF Superstars the Stampede Bulldogs, two veterans of the Southern Independent scene, Chris Hamrick and Tracy Smothers, Southern Comfort, and representing Pro Wrestling NOAH out of Japan, their resident gaijin, Doug Williams and Scorpio. More information on this big tournament will be coming in the upcoming weeks.
D’Lo Brown’s music hit, and he came down to the ring… looks like we’re about to have a six man battle. The Federation made their way down to the ring, and circled the ring, as D’Lo has a microphone in the ring. D’Lo talked about how the Foundation thought they were all big and bad, he’s been bigger and badder every day of his life than they’ve ever been. For the last 3 years, he’s been tearing things up in Japan. He ran with a gang that the Federation wishes they could be. A little group called…. Roughly, Obsess, & Destroy started to flash on the Tron, and here come TAKA Michinoku and Taiyo Kea, they’re his mystery partners!
The Foundation vs. Roughly, Obsess, & Destroy.
This was a fast paced brawl, all over the ring and the ringside area. RO&D’s size seemed to give the Federation more than they could handle. But the Stampede Bulldogs seemed to take advantage, until Kea actually hit a tope that took out everyone but Jack Evans and TAKA. With the opening, TAKA hits a Michinoku Driver onto Jack Evans for the victory. * 3/4
Nidia vs. Lacey. This was a rather competitive match. Nidia took most of the advantage, but absolutely couldn’t put Lacey away. Lacey’s come backs seemed to scare Nidia a little too much, as she had backup. Victoria tried to interfere with a steel chair but as she swung at Lacey, hit Nidia instead. Lacey dropkicked Victoria out of the ring and then rolled up Nidia for the upset victory! 1/2*
Tank Abbott has a microphone. Last week, the lost to Necro Butcher was a fluke. But just in case Necro was too stupid to know it, if he comes near Tank again, he’s dead. But onto more important things, Tank was looking at the website, and noticed someone had the gall to call himself the Shooter, and that was a skinny punk named Brent Albright. So this is a challenge. If this “Shooter” thought he had what it took, he could come in the ring, and Tank could show him he had no right to call himself that.
Brent “The Shooter” Albright vs. Tank Abbott
This was a very slow paced match, as Tank’s a brawler, and Albright is more of a mat technician. Tank seemed like with his size and experience advantage, that Albright wouldn’t take much. But the man Tank warned to stay away just couldn’t. Necro distracted Tank enough for Albright to lock on the Crowbar, and Tank, being smart enough to know he was in trouble, tapped out. After the match, Necro came into the ring and started beating on Tank, returning the favor from Tank’s beat down last week. –*
Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Kanyon.
This was Danielson’s debut in the company. He wasn’t even announced as being a part of the UWF before this match. Kanyon might’ve been taking him lightly, or maybe Danielson was too much for the veteran, but Danielson was able to take advantage. Danielson with the Cattle Mutilation… and Danielson with the big debut upset! If he was looking to earn a job with the UWF, he might’ve just done it! **1/4
So the question is… who is Sapp’s tag team partner? You won’t have to wait long for the answer, as it’s the MACHO MAN, RANDY SAVAGE. What a shocker!
Bob Sapp and Randy Savage vs Chris Jericho and Goldberg.
This was a slow paced, but very over with the crowd brawl. Jericho couldn’t seem to do much to Sapp, but had some success against Savage. Savage looked out of place in the match, as noticeably the weakest of the 4. Sapp takes control of Jericho, has the ring all to themselves, but a big bearhug couldn’t get a submission. Sapp hits the Beast Bomb, but only gets a 2. Sapp, frustrated, goes to ringside and grabs the UWF Title belt, comes back inside, and blatantly hits Jericho with the belt. The referee DQ’s Sapp immediately. After the match, Savage is in Sapp’s face… Sapp throws Savage down! Sapp grabs the Macho Man… Beast Bomb! Sapp has not only taken out the World Champion again, but has also taken out Randy Savage, one of the best wrestlers to ever live! **1/4
