Backstory
On July 15th, 2002 Vince McMahon shocked the world when he announced the new Raw General Manager would be arch-rival Eric Bischoff. The former WCW President quickly got to work and solidified the brand's place as #1 in the company. McMahon was indeed impressed with his work. McMahon was now working alongside Bischoff, unlike the late 90's where the infamous Monday Night Wars were staged, we saw Bischoff and McMahon go head to head for the ratings victory each week. WCW's Monday Nitro managed an 86 week winning streak over the then World Wrestling Federation, which many say was the true work of the nWo gimmick. Backstage, the tension still stood between them but for the better product, McMahon kept Bischoff in the WWE. However, on screen was a different matter. In December, 2005 Bischoff was 'fired' in an angle on RAW by Mr.McMahon and then tossed into a garbage truck by then WWE Champion John Cena. For 8 months, Bischoff sat at home, literally having no input on the RAW shows. 2 more months passed, and after no real direction for his on air character, he requested his release from the company. Of course, WWE tried to negotiate, as the threat of Bischoff elsewhere would be a huge hit against them. Eric Bischoff walked out on WWE on September 12th, 2006. Bischoff met immediately with former WCW Owner Ted Turner about Turner's new promotion.
Turner and AOL Time Warner will produce the new show, entitled 'The Elite' on the also new CW Television Network launching in September. Elite Television debuts on launch day, September 18th, 2006. AOL Time Warner and Turner will support the company financially, whilst Eric Bischoff runs the booking and writing procedures.
On September 13th, Eric Bischoff was officially signed to Elite Wrestling and released a statement on their website, eliteprowrestling.com. He said it would follow in the footsteps of WCW, but rising in popularity with better storylines and feuds. It would be a continuation of where they were heading, but now only better.

My first attempt at booking or writing my own diary. Ignore some of the stuff about Time Warner and Turner etc. as I probably got it all wrong anyway. Used what I could any how. I will be using EWR, but will only be using the percentage grades for the shows.
