There goes the heavyweight division. Hey Dana, you're losing fighters fast bro. Sylvia, Couture, Arlovski and Ortiz will be leaving as soon as their contracts are done.

that's smart.
Now when ADRenaline 1 collapses Dana white can swoop in, bury them, and pay a former World Champ peanuts.
Good thinking Sylvia!

wow.
Probably the smartest thing Sylvia could ever do.
Without him, sadly, what seemed to be the strongest division just 1 year ago is back to being the weakest...
The HW division last year had Couture, rumors of Brock Lesnar, CroCop, Mir, Gonzaga, Kongo, Sylvia, Arlovski, Big Nog, and talks of Fedor jumping on board...
Now Couture is gone Arlovski...GONE CroCop...GONE Fedor?...never coming and Sylvia gone....
So that means they have Big Nog, Kongo, Mir, Lesnar, and Gonzaga...
THAT IS IT? Haha. That list is a joke. Kongo needs to lock himself in a basement with Couture and Royce Gracie for about 5 months to build up something so he isn't so damn one dimensional.. Mir is still boring as f***. I refuse to count his win against Lesnar as a sign of the old Mir coming back... Lesnar was a damn idiot to just leave his foot out there like that... Rookie mistake... Gonzaga is good but boring. He has good leg kicks and pretty good submissions for a big guy...but he is still boring.
The only ones that I see keeeping this division alive is Lesnar and Big Nog... Lesnar will get better with time and will begin to prove the critics wrong. Big Nog is going to have that belt around his waist for awhile...
Not so smart to let so many top level fighters go Ortiz, Arlovski, Cro Cop, Sylvia, Couture...who is next?
=/

I think it's a risk myself, so many mMA groups have started up over the last few years & done very little. Look at M1 which has now been renamed Adrenaline. It signed Fedor & then did nothing apart from lease him out for a freak show match on NYE with Choi. Look at Lindland who keeps signing long term deals with big companies only to see them fal apart after just one fight.
A lot of promoters are looking at the success of the UFC & deciding they want a piece of that for themselves, however are not thinking long term of the years the UFC ran at a loss before the TUF series helped push up their profile with the casual fans.
Dana realy needs to get Cuture & Fedor signed! However I don't think the divisionis as bad as it appears. Bear in mind the during Arlovski's reign a few years ago he actually had PPV defences against Eillers & Buentello! I think a division that includes Nog, Herring, Kongo, Werdum, Vera, Mir, Lesnar, Coleman is not a terrible division. Remember also Arlovski has not officially left.

"I've got 3 to 4 years leftand want to fight as much as possible, so this is the perfect choice forme at this time." Not only that, but why is everyone forgetting Eddie Sanchez? He's 3-1 in the UFC, and his only loss is to Cro Cop. Cro Cop is coming back in due time, and don't forget Chuck Liddell said he would step up to fight the Heavyweight Champion if asked of him.

Honestly I think HW is a better division for Chuck anyways.
Eddie Sanchez looked horrible in his fight a couple of months back..I forget who it was with but he had the guy pressed up against the cage for the whole match...Granted, he did press the action throwing some nice upper-cuts and combos. But he just reminds me of a Tim Sylvia jr. I hope I am wrong though..
Is Mark Coleman staying for more than one fight? I thought he would most likely pull a Royce Gracie and leave after his match he had with Hughes. Perhaps if Coleman wins he will be right in line to face Big Nog..But if he loses to Lesnar I think he is done.
I FORGET ABOUT BRANDON VERA ALLLLL THE TIME. The guy is amazing. I wish he would go to LHW. But a Big Nog vs. Vera fight intrigues me...hope it happens.

Werdum is the best fighter, in my opinion, to face Nog.
