Day After still disturbs me to this day, especially for a 80s made for TV movie staring Steve Guttenberg. And Grave of the Fireflies bothers me quite a bit. It's not scary or creepy, it's just so utterly depressing and sad. So apparently serious tone movies about the effects of nuclear attacks bother me. Actually Grave of the Fireflies didn't have anything to do with the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima or Nagasaki. I do agree that it was depressing, sad, and quite unsettling. It is also a very important film that more people should see.

Not a film by any means, but the video for "Black Hole Sun" since I've seen none of the movies discussed in this thread.

The absolute worst for me was "Orozco the Embalmer". Its a documentary but its pretty crude. Ive seen a lot of strange stuff but this is pretty hardcore. Don't search for clips unless your prepared for it. I bought the DVD because I collect rare disc's but I never expected it to be like it is.
I would also add White Noise, not unsettling but I watched it alone in the dark with the surround sound cranked. Bad move if your not expecting it.
I still don't like the subliminal scenes in the original Exorcist.
Flowers in the Attic has always seemed kinda creepy.
Also as said by others I would add -The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, The story turned out to be made up but its still a really strange and disturbing movie. Gummo, while I'm not the biggest fan of the movie the Spaghetti and bacon in the bath tub always made me cringe for some reason.
I'm just waiting for "Choke" to be released to see how they adapt it to the screen. It should be interesting.

The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. For some reason my friend and I watched this a while back and felt so, so, so uncomfortable during the entire thing.

I love documentries so judging by the title alone it sounds right up my alley. I saw Gummo for the first time last week, while not at all disturbing I found it extremely awkward and strange. I'm still not sure if I like or dislike the movie.

I have to say Audition. Which was weird since I watched it and Cannibal Holocaust the same night and Audition freaked me out more.

I must say, seeing all the Saw films in the theaters was the creepiest.... Cause, when u look around, some were laughing, some leaving, some throwing up. It was unsettling, and the graphics were insane....Like the fast motion clips.Good stuff though.

Not particularly scary... but... you know what i mean... Mine had to be Tim Burtons 'Elephant Man'... just a horrific story that was near truth... just unnerving and uncomfortable to watch. What about you? What movie are you referencing? Are you sure Tim Burton had a film called "Elephant Man?" I know "Elephant" by Gus Van Sant, which is unnerving, as well as "The Elephant Man" by David Lynch, which is kind of unnerving, and both are based in truths... so I'm confused as to what film you mean... Yeah, " Elephant" was really hard to stomach, especially the ending. Just a gruesome movie.

I just watched Elephant, and all I can say is 'wow'.
It left me with a totally empty feeling. It just felt so real.
