We got in There Will Be Blood at work, and let me tell you the packaging leaves a lot to be desired.
The regular version comes in a very thin cardboard fold out case, like a lot of cds have been coming in lately. When it is closed, the end opposite of the spine makes a sort of triangle shape, which will make it hard to fit on a shelf.
The 2 disc version is a lot better, its still in a thin cardboard box, even thinner than a regular single disc plastic case, but the 2 discs fill it out better so that it doesn't get the weird triangle effect.

It should come with a coupon for Cold Stone Creamery. At $5 a pop, I could use a free milkshake.

I wish the 2-disc was in a case like the 2-disc The Deer Hunter, the damn thing's like a hardcover book.

As long as I get to see the awesomeness of Daniel Plainview time and time again, I do not care.

Everyone is going green. I have a DVD thats case is made totally out of recycled paper and starch. The only plastic is the disc itself. Stupid environment....

I have no problem with companies going green, but for the price we pay for these things, some semi-durable packaging might be nice. Case in point: when I bought WWE vol. 8 at Wallyworld, I paid 13.88 for it. For 14 bucks, I'd like a jewel case, please...not a cardboard sleeve that looks like I got the CD from some struggling unsigned band. Hell, I've actually gotten CDs from struggling unsigned bands...IN JEWEL CASES.

Bought the 2disc last night, and man is this thing flimsy. It feels like its made of recycled newspaper.

I don't mind the fact that it's a cardboard case, as I think that's kind of a cool. However, I don't like the fact that the damn thing doesn't stay flat, it's always half-way unfolded.
I may end up taking a blank DVD case and just putting the disc in there. Perhaps I'll scan the covers from this version and stick it in there.

I went to buy it today and passed for that very reason.
What a cheap move.
