The true struggle of being an anime fan. Finding some good shows and then trying to find time to watch them. Ugh.

Rewatching Seto no Hanayome/My Bride Is A Mermaid the series is just hilarious it has the parodies and slapstick humor and the english dub is great. I believe the OVA's are subbed only but they're just as good as the main series maybe funnier so I'd suggest them also if you haven't watched them.

It makes fun of every anime known to man pretty much.

The dub is hilarious mainly because of the characters Momo and Bobby. The voices were perfect. Plus no anime was safe from its wrath, made it even better.

All right so Good luck Girl dub was just awesome, To bad there wasn't another season it deserved it. So being a huge fan of the zombie genre started High School Of the Dead while the zombies looked really I realized I went to the wrong school as the one i went to the girls all weren't triple D's so put that on hold and watched Corpse Party Tortured souls ova's and it's a brutal bloody horror anime so I liked it,to bad I suck at the game and cant escape the room with the hair blocking the door fast enough and get a bad end. Now I'll do a 180 and wath the dubbed Sgt.Frog gotta love an invading alien frog made to do chores and spend his money on gundam models and vegeta/picolo voicing a love struck red frog.

Because she was great as Ai in Hell Girl and Holo from Spice and Wolf and a few other anime I really like.Glad I wasn't laughed off the board for liking the frog anime!! To bad the didn't dub all the other seasons, not popular enough maybe?

To bad the didn't dub all the other seasons, not popular enough maybe? Yeah, Brina. She's pretty awesome. She was here in Pittsburgh for our anime convention and I got her to sign a few things, and when me and my friend left to get some pub grub before going back into the con for the After Hours panel (if you ever go to a con and are over 17/18 depending on your country, I highly advise the After Hours panel...glorious) we ran into her and one of the actual animation guys who do the mouthing fixes for sub to dub at the same pub and got to talk to them off kilter for a bit before the panel because she recognized me. One of the coolest moments. Downside though. We left before her. She showed up to the panel piss drunk. There's a video of it up on YouTube. She's done that a few times, shown up drunk or hung over. Kinda funny.

Finally got JDSFullmetal to watch Okami-san and Her Seven Companions. If any of you haven't watched it and dig comedy anime, the narrator alone makes the show a gem, she's a savage. Also, I remember a while back I was complaining that there weren't any really good fantasy anime, like dark ages Skyrim crap. If anyone wants an anime like that, I HIGHLY suggest Ragnarok. It's based off of a South Korean MMORPG surprisingly, but the anime is stellar. Roan and Yufa are becoming one of my favorite tandems in a series. Nothing will be able to top Soul/Maka, Kenshin/Kaoru and Souske/Kaname but they're a great tandem for a fighting group. Though nothing will top Rin/Asa from Shuffle, but that's because Asa remains my favorite female character from any anime period.

Favorite anime girl? Wow I'll have to say Revy from Black Lagoon nothing cute or adorable about her she is what she is. And looks like new animes and seasons starts in a few weeks looking forward to Durarara!!x2 Ketsu and Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri, while not as good as the light novels or manga it's not that bad and Boku dake ga Inai Machi is a very interesting anime plus a new Macross, well there are to many to list so if anyone wants just google winter anime 2016 and you'll get to see whats coming

I think part of it is the fact that, while less exciting than my Brina story, I have a fun story about the time I got to spend some serious time with Greg Ayres (Roan). It pays to go to the cons, to help them out, you get some great inside access to the voices and while they're celebrities to us, they're pretty much all down to earth. Only d-bag I've met so far is Vic, but he's the voice of one of the most iconic characters in anime here in the States, so he's got right to be a little jaded...he gets more crazies and jerks than the rest. He's still ok when the dust is settled though. He comes back home to Pittsburgh from time to time and speaks to the animation/acting students at the University I attended, he's ok then.

Sounds fun meeting the people behind the voices and looks like you have some cool stories on meeting them .FMA and Brotherhood are both great anime and the way they handled the tragedy, comedy and adventure was pretty much perfect. On a lighter note Panty and Stocking was hilarious the parodies it did was ok but hearing Jamie March,Monica Rial and Chris Sabat playing those characters and the language used cause my sides to hurt from laughing!! sadly the older I get I still keep the juvenile sense of humor.

Well the winter 2016 anime's are in full swing, there seems to be a little something for everyone but I really like Boku dake ga Inai Machi about a young man who can send his consciousness back in time for 1-5 minutes at first and kinda takes off from there. It's a Psychological, Supernatural anime Kind of has a Steins;Gate vibe so if you're in to that I'd check out Boku.

Gantz is servicey, but it holds a place in my heart because of the story. Basically, it's about people who die in certain situations are sent to a sort of purgatory state of being where Gantz, the controller, makes them play Hunter vs. Hunted with some aliens that have invaded Earth. You participate in enough games and get 100 kills, you get to come back to life. But if you die in the hunt or stay "in the game" for too long, you're dead for good. Fun concept, good show.

Ghost Hunt was a really good anime considering it was a supernatural/thriller with no fan service, gore or foul language, also really glad you brought up Gantz as I thought the manga was great and I have no idea how I missed it had an anime so definitely going to check it out. Subbed or dubbed that is the question. Dunno if you like horror but the 4 episode OVA Corpse Party:Tortured Souls is pretty good,if you don't mind the gore, several highschool kids and a teacher get transported to an elementary school in another dimension where it's haunted buy murdered students. The OVA as based off a game for the PSP with throwback graphics that resemble old NES rpg graphics but still a fun and very frustrating game.Actually if your interested just google corpse party and you'll get a much better summarization than I can give. forgive the bad punctuation as it's been many years since I've been in school and my job requires a strong back and a weak mind. LOL
