I've been so tempted to buy this DVD as of late, but I'm still not sure about it.
To anybody that's seen it, could you give me some details on the show, what it's all about and if it's funny, please?
I seem to have enjoyed every other HBO series that I own, so I'm guessing it's gonna be pretty good.

It's about two guys, Bret and Jemaine, who are a two man band. They are struggling New Zealanders trying to make it in New York. They have a terrible manager named Murray. The show often revolves around their struggles as a band and their personal lives. They take themselves very seriously and are oblivious to many things. They usually perform comedic songs that deal with the plot of the episode, broken into music video like segments. They also interact with other minor characters including their only fan, who is a married woman with a creepy obsession.
The show is hilarious. It's one of my favorites, check it out.

your best bet is to not purchase the dvd. You can watch everything on Youtube. The Dvd has no special features , or anything that cant be easily found on the tube.
It's a great great show, but just a piss poor dvd release.

Yeah, the DVD is horrible (it's HBO after all) but atleast I have the episodes in hi-def.
The show's brilliant, my favorite thing of 2007. You should watch their HBO One Night Stand to get a feel of their not-for-everybody style of humor, basically every thing from the show is on youtube (4 million views of "If You're Into It," jesus!).
