I remember before someone posting the differences between Sandman's ECWONS entrance live and on DVD. While watching WrestleMania XIX i noticed they edited another scene, during Shawn Michaels' entrance, Chris Jericho gives HBK the middle finger, this is shown on live TV but edited on the DVD. My question is.. do WWE regularly edit their footage to be suitable for DVD? and plus WMXIX is rated 18+ Here's videos of the scene - Live and unedited:
DVD and edited:
Thanks for reading. Rated R NinJa

They edit content, music and often mistakes. I'm fairly sure they edited Mickie messing up the slingshot bulldog at the end of her match with Trish, and they did edit Mickie making the **** eating gesture after grabbing Trish's crotch.

I know on Hogan's DVD they edit all his entrance musics to be Real American even from matches where he used Hendrix.

WWE pisses me off when they do this stuff, ecspecially on the ECW DVD's, because pretty much everyone has a generic entrance theme instead of Alice in Chains, NWA, or Metallica.

Edits and cuts ruin DVDs. Personally I think there should be a law forcing DVD companies to detail on the cover any changes made from the original broadcast/theatrical version. People have a right to know what they are buying. I would love WWE to release full WCW PPVs and season sets of Nitro and Raw on DVD. BUT there's no way in hell i'm buying them if they're gonna cheap-out and not pay for copyrights, edit any anti-WWF parts of WCW, or change history in any way. www.dvdcompare.net is a great site for comparing regions of DVDs and listing any cuts/changes. But there's barely any wrestling dvds listed unfortunetely.

WWE Vengenace 2007-the fans who brought the sign "YOU KILLED WRESTLING" was edited out WWE Wrestlemania XX-Austin getting smacked with a beer can and Ultimo's slip-up was edited.
A lot of the re-releases are edited (Wrestlemania Anthology, RR Anthology) with new belt graphics, the WWF symbol edited out, people saying "WWF" to "WW"....things of that sort.
