I was curious to see everyone's opinion on the yellow, red, purple, dark blue, and green carded figures. Just want to see of the five which you think is the best and which was the worst. I personally liked the Red cards and Green Cards.
The Yellow Cards were fine. Nothing spectacular but were ok. Still upset with the Shawn Michaels that was produced versus the one advertised on the card and in the Magazine.
The Red Card series was one of my favorites as this brought the Bam Bam Bigelow and Yokozuna figures. Undertaker, Bret, and Mr. Perfect were alright and it was nice to have an updated version of the three at the time. Lex Luger to me wasnt anything special.
The Purple Cards were a bit of a disappointment because of the rerelease of Tatanka and Doinks hand. The rest of that series was fine.
The Dark Blue series I hated. We got Marty Jannety and Giant Gonzalez which were decent. But the Headshrinkers were hideous. I am sorry but the way they were made was horrible. The worst in this line. The feet stuck together and the body type just ruined them. As for the Bushwhackers and Razor and Shawn repaints(Nothing new from hasbro) but atleast some different attire options.
I liked the Green Cards and it is because of Adam Bomb and Ludvig Borga. If it werent for these two I probably would be too high on them. I thought Adam Bomb was done really well and had a likeness to him. The same can be said for Ludvig Borga. As for the rest The Gunns not being able to remove their hats sucked. The Yokozuna and Crush repaints were fine. As for the hardest of the Green Cards to find the 123Kid next to the feet stuck together body type this is just as bad. Now It made sense because he is smaller than most of the others but is basically useless for anything.
Just curious your guys opinions reguarding the last five series.

Yeah, I too liked the red & green cards the best. Especially the figures of Adam Bomb and Ludvig Borga.

I like the Yellow Cards myself. I do think the Red Cards had better figures, but as far as the packaging itself, I think the Yellow really stands out.

It's a toss-up between yellow and red. Yellow had a bigger variety of wrestlers who hadn't yet been made by Hasbro, but the red series featured upgraded versions of 'Taker and Bret, along with another good Mr. Perfect and the great Yoko figure.
Green, to me, was a disappointment. I remember finding those in the store and thinking they were a real letdown as far as re-used parts and overall look of the figures. They are looked at fondly now because of scarcity, but they weren't really the best figures. Of course I realize why this was (no more money for tooling new parts for a dead line), but in a better scenario the lineup presented (especially a larger looking Adam Bomb with gloves and a different mechanism feature or Smoking Gunns with cowboy boots) could've made an awesome assortment.

While I don't consider them to be bad, I was never really to keen on the yellow and purple series, although I did love the Steiner Brothers!

My Favorites were the Red & Green. I never knew about the Green cards until they were shown in the magazine with that guy's store in it but after seeing them in there I searched everywhere for them. It seemed like we didn't get any around here since everybody I knew didn't have any of them or seem them in stores.
I always thought that they should have released more Tag Team sets. They could have moved Typhoon into a set with Earthquake and released Tugboat as a single and put the Beverlys in a two pack. Then have the Steiners, Gunns, and Headshrinkers in two packs and released other wrestlers in the single sets.
Is that store from the magazine still open?

Did the green card series even make it stores? I cannot remember. I bought literally dozens of them at a department store called Hills. They were a K-Mart type store and one the only place I could find that carried them (In fact, one of the few retail outlets anywhere in the US that got them). Action Figure News and Toy Review magazine had a write-up in one of their issues at the time that they had started popping up there. The closest one was 45 miles away, so I made the journey and stocked up. I actually used to find lots of rare, tail-ender type toys in that store. Sadly, the Hills stores went out of business several years back.

I have to go with Green card because they are the most valuable and never having the chance to even buy them where I live makes them that much more desirable.

Dark blue had my man Marty Jannetty, green had Adam Bomb, so I'll pick these colors.

Where I live the only figure I managed to get from the blue series was Samu. That really sucked. There was no chance with the green cards but a pal of mine got 123 Kid and Adam Bomb from Germany in 94, and I thought they were cool. I now own those figures after buyin them in a bulk lot from him, for the equivelent of £1 each. I'll probably have to go dark blue. The Headshrinkers were really dull figures. I just got Giant Gonzolez too, and was underwhelmed by him.I liked the Purple and yellow series, although I wish they had done Doinks tights properly instead of just red. The red series was cool too.
