So what did everyone else think of the game tonight?
I thought it was a superb defensive performance from us tonight, it was the sort of performance that would have seen us through to the final last year, if we did what we did to Barca tonight to Milan last year we would have been in the final in my view.
Ronaldo's pen was a sore one to take but i thought we should have had two other pens later in the night, the ref although he allowed the game to flow was giving them free-kicks left-right and centre, and after he gave us the pen in the first minute he wasn't going to give us any others.
We're looking good going back to OT for the next leg, i think we will be able to break Barca down next week and can see us winning 2-0.
A brilliant and necessary away performance, we didn't offer much up front but we made sure that we locked Barca out as much as we could and got the result we needed.
Thoughts.

Was a good defensive performance as you say. Im always a bit scepitcal about a 0-0 draw away from home because they get the 1st goal we have to get 2 which against anybody in the Champions League Semi Finals is going to be difficult.

It was a poor game tbh, Ronaldo should be embarrassed. Man United needed to score really because if Barcelona get one next leg they'll be needing two.

Ronaldo should have scored, but nevertheless, it was a good result in my opinion for United.

It was one of the most stop start games you'll see it didn't flow at all. It was a boring game, I'm not sure what to think of the result yet, I think we're going to sorely miss that away goal.

When i say he allowed the game to flow, i meant that he didn't flash his yellow cards around, no-one got sent off and evident in the amount of injury time, 2mins thruout the whole match, he didn't allow shenanigans to takeover and waste time, unlike many, many other referees around today. It was stop-start but that was down to him giving Barca nearly every free-kick they could of possibly had.

Barcelona were all over United last night, even off the ball. United never pressured them when Barca had the possession, and were quite happy to just sit off them, although by doing that Barca kept getting closer and closer to the goal. Whereas Barca were constantly pressuring United off the ball, and quickly regained possession and forced them back up the pitch instead.
But, I think it will be a comfortable win for United at OT.

United will have a completely different approach at OT, and whilst not getting an away goal was a shame, we will definately have an advantage at home. Have won our last 10 CL home games, Barca wont find it easy even with a full strength team. If we can get pressure on their defence we can rip them apart, and I think we will manage to go through

I seriously need to get a ticket for Tuesday it will be amazing. Chances of getting one though are slim seen as some 1 year ST holders didn't get them.

Advantage Barca IMO.
They need to attack all the time at Old Trafford... if Barca score early United will be stuck and if Barca score first they will go through IMO

I'd love to see a Barca / Chelsea or Liverpool final. Would make a nice change and the way Man Utd played I'm starting to think maybe it will be.

"the ref although he allowed the game to flow was giving them free-kicks left-right and centre"
That made NO SENCE.
If he let the game to flow. Then he WOULDN'T be giving them free kicks " left right and center ".
Vettel your posts make me want to burn down an orphanage, really your views on sport are CRINGEworthy. United were played off the park, Barca were just walking the ball around but seemed like they couldnt be bothered to finish it.
Advantage barca still imo

Learn to spell.
Let it flow in parts, there were long periods where Barca were just knocking it around, there wasn't much of a game to ref but thought he could have let a few challenges go but most were free-kicks, my point is, the ref did not cause incidents in the match he allowed Barca and United to play the match the way they played it.
We weren't played of the park - we allowed them to just play in front of us and we just kept them at bay, they didn't finish their chances because they can't, only Henry seemed to have a worthwhile effort.
This is why i am not worried, Barca couldn't even score at home when they had 72% possession of the ball, how can they possibly score away from home against Manchester United of all teams.
