I won't have my copy of Issue #1 until Wednesday, but I can't wait. The prologue was great. I can't wait to see Hulk wreck some folks!

Yeah, as much as I liked all the Hulk stuff the last several years, it was pretty low key.
But I want some classic HULK SMASH that will make Stark piss his armor.

HA! Tony Stark got punked. I actually wanted to see more of the Black Bolt fight. I love that he took on the Hulk Buster armor, the power inhibitors, and the nukes, and it just made him more angry.
Not sure I like where the Miek story is going to lead though.

Not sure I like where the Miek story is going to lead though. Well, Miek has always been kind of the loose cannon in the warbound. If we see anyone turn clear villain here, it'll be him. I also liked how this week's Hulk showed the dangers he DOES pose to Earth and why they sent him into space in the first place. When his rage is too great, even his friends are in danger and that does pose a risk. Doesnt mean Hulk shouldnt get to make Stark and Co. eat some humble pie and fist sammiches, BUT it also presents the full picture.

I haven't got the first issue yet but I'm so hyped for this event... I've been hyped for it as soon as Planet Hulk started. I mean come on, despite Marvel trying to put us off, we all knew this was coming.
I can't wait to get me some more loverly JRJR art.

you'll enjoy it. The first issue and tie ins are pretty good. Though you can already kind of see how this is probably going to end with the Heroes for Hire tie in.

The only thing I'm skeptical about is the hype that this is the second part of a third part story... to be honest I don't know how they can top this. This story is Hulk to me.

It's a great way to start off. I loved it and I absolutely cannot wait until World War Hulk #2 in July.

I didn't read Planet Hulk. How confusing would it be to pick up the core story WWH series?

I didn't read Planet Hulk. How confusing would it be to pick up the core story WWH series? I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard. Marvel are improving at making the core mini essential, everything else just gravy. All you need to know going in is that Black Bolt, Doctor Strange, Mr Fantastic and Iron Man shot Hulk into space (Xavier was missing, Namor didn't agree) to save him from himself. He landed on the wrong planet and discovered it was ruled by an evil Emperor. Him and a group of rebels overthrew the ruler shortly before the planet blew up due to the spaceship he landed in. Hulk and co. manage to fly back to earth with the Hulk looking for revenge (He blames BB, Dr Strange, Reed and Stark for blowing up the planet).

Oh, ok. So what I already know of the story is good enough. Sounds good. Thanks!

I have to say, while I loved the issue I was disapointed with Peter and Tony's first meeting since Civil War.
I mean really Tony's actions lead to Peter's life falling apart. He's on the run and his Aunt's been shot and Peter channels this anger by calling Iron Man, boss... in quotes!
That's just the Spider-Man nut in me though. If the first issue of One More Day had come out first I'd of been fine heh.
I can't wait for #2.
Oh, I loved the scene with Tony's speech. It really sounded like he was going to sacrifice himself to save the city from the Hulk... but then it kind of went "Nah, I'll nuke him instead." lol
