This article talks about ing $6 per gallon gasoline and claims it makes economic sense. www.newsweek.com/id/133994>1=43001I don't think that makes sense at all. There is absolutely no reason for prices to go that high.

I hate to admit it, but the guy is probably right. I don't know if $6 is gallon is how high it would need to go, but the basic premise is sound. If gas is high enough that people stop driving then demand (and thus price) would go down.

If gas is high enough that people stop driving then demand (and thus price) would go down. the price would have to really get extreme for people to stop using it at to the point that it would make a difference. there's a lot of things that the price keeps going up and seems ridiculous but people keep buying it.
