www.tv.comCleveland will go off on his own, says report, along with The Pitts, Sit Down, Shut Up. You go, Cleveland! You go, Cleveland! At this point, Fox should just make Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane part owner of the network. The writer/producer has been nothing but money for Fox, with Family Guy and American Dad successfully complementing The Simpsons and King of the Hill on Fox's Sunday nights and redefining primetime animation. Now Fox can add a third show to the mix, says The Hollywood Reporter. The rumored Family Guy spin-off is pretty much a done deal, says the trade. Focusing on Peter Griffin's buddy Cleveland, Cleveland is expected to receive a 13-episode order at Fox's upfronts next week. If all goes according to plan, Cleveland will debut next spring. Cleveland likely won't be the only new toon next season. The animated reworkings of a pair of live-action shows, The Pitts and Sit Down, Shut Up, are also looking good to go. Both projects will be handled by Simpsons vets; Mike Scully and Julie Thacker will take on The Pitts, about an unlucky family, and Josh Weinstein and Bill Oakley were recently announced as showrunners for Mitch Hurwitz's Sit Down, Shut Up, based on an Australian show about disenchanted teachers.

Hopefully it will be good. But FG has been so awful lately, I wish they would work on the that before doing something else. But AMERICAN DAD has been really good lately, so that's good.

They could have done an animated cop drama with Joe before the accident... they could have done a comedy with Quagmire... why did they pick Cleveland?

The Pitts? What? Wasn't that the show with Dylan Baker that was canned like 5 years ago? I like Dylan Baker, but that show wasn't funny.

Like most of the characters on Family Guy, I really like Cleveland in small doses but his own show?
Doesn't sound too appealing to me.

So pointless, Peter's the only character that can carry a whole show.
