Ok. I've got a fairly old computer in my garage. (Not hooked up or anything. It probally still has all of the cords. It's not that old of a computer, probally about 2001 or so.) I want a computer in my room but, my desk is so small that I wouldn't be able to have a monitor on there. (Plus, I don't want to go out and buy a flatpannel.) So, my friend somehow hooked his computer up to his TV and he can use his monitor or his TV as a monitor. I was wondering how to do this:
1.) How does this work?
2.) What kinds of cords do I need for it?
3.) Would I still be able to plug in a keyboard and use the computer like a regular computer?
Please help me, any help is appreciated.

there's 2 ways to do it... your video card (where you hook up your monitor) might have an S-Video output, if it does you can get a chord that has S-Video on one end and like RCA (red, white, yellow) on the other end and you can hook up your tv to that
or if you have a TV Tuner card it's kind of the same deal
