Before the movie......there will be a new cartoon. Looks like a lot of the voice actors from Fox's version of the X Men cartoon have returned. Thats great! The story.....looks good, interesting concept. However, the idea of Wolverine leading the team.......PLEASE! Wolverine is a warrior......not a leader. Major discredit to the history of this character. marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11491You will find the trailer here. I saw a sneak peek of Gambit. Whoohoo!

The style of animation is a tad better than I figured it would be.

The only voice I recognized from the original show was Beast, but the others aren't bad. I'm not a fan of the animation, but it looks a million times better than X-MEN: Evolution. All in all, I think this show has some serious potential.

It looks damn good. Add this to the new Spider-Man cartoon coming soon, and I'm reliving a part of my childhood.

It looks kinda like the most recent Fantastic Four in terms of animation. Wolverine looks to be voiced by Steve Blum. He's been Wolverine a few times in the X-Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance games.

i slightly marked out for a new x-men cartoon.
though, i dont think any of the voices are the same as the original cartoon, some very similar though.

Well, I guess I'm the only one not excited about this. Maybe it's just because Gambit's in it. I dunno.

Yeah, that's the one I meant. It's a really good show, but it still doesn't top the early-mid 90's show. The theme song is possibly the worst song ever recorded though.

this looks promising. hard to tell properly from a trailer, but i don't see anything specifically wrong or stupid. not quite sure about Wolverine leading the team, but i don't mind creative liscence, infact i encourage it mostly, makes it more interesting and can show a new side to the characters. so i'll give it a shot.
i'm looking forward to more x-men cartoons. i never read comics, but i grew up with superhero cartoons. I really hope the people who are making this have watched all the old animated series, seen the films, and read all the comics, and actually love what they are making. The old animated series was VERY good though, so this has got a LOT to live up to. I really hope it delivers.
according to wikipedia, NONE of the new cast were in the 90s animated series... regardless of what wikipedia says, from what i can hear, some of them sound similar, but i haven't heard any that i'm certain are the same. seems like some of the voices are imitating the old animated voices (cyclops, wolverine, beast) where as others seem to be imitating the film voices (prof x, magneto) which is an interesting idea, and suggests the people responsible have seen/liked the established voices. professor x sounds awful though, is that supposed to be a british accent?
anyway, looking forward to this, thanks for the news!
EDIT: oh yeah, and even if this series sucks, hopefully this renewed interest will get them to release the 90s series full seasons on DVD!! and the spider-man 90s series too!

Gambit is one of the worst X-Men characters ever. Agreed. Definitely overrated. I couldn't stand him on the old X-men cartoon.

I'll admit my love for him developed from the cartoon series. But he was damn cool. As far as the voices. It certainly sounds like Wolverine and Cyclops are voiced by the same actors. I could be wrong....but thats what it sounds like.

This is going to be awesome. This was my favorite cartoon growing followed closely by BAS.
Gambit is awesome, the animation is going to take some time for me to get used to, and the stories seem very good and hopefully more mature than your average cartoon. I don't like wolverine as the leader. I want him to be angry, I want him to be an outcast. I LOVE how the x-men aren't really formed in this.

Cool.
It looks like the fun of the 90's cartoon with the storytelling of Evolution.
