And Hogan just admitted Hogan Knows Best is scripted, thusly prooving my point that you should judge Nick by the way he appears on the show.

I feel bad for this kid honestly, he gets a bad wrap here and people don't really know him. He did something incredibly stupid and wreckless and he will pay the price, but you guys need to lay off a bit, he's a kid and none of us actually know him. There seems to be alot of resnetment and disgust towards him based of his character on a TV show and his father, how stupid is that. I agree Nick Hogan needs to pay for his crime, but I don't think he needs to be further judged by us. I don't want to sound mean-spirited, but knowing him or not I have no damn sympathy for him and here's my reason why. I've become quite jaded when it comes to car accidents only because after seeing the news time and time again and it would be the same thing day after day young driver(s) killed in car accident. You'd feel bad and then you find out that 99% of these occurrances are due to drinking and driving and speeding. I have sympathy for his passenger regardless of the fact that he didn't wear a seatbelt or not, he is permanently injured for the rest of his life and no one knows for sure if a seatbelt would have prevented his injuries because I've also read about accidents where the person wearing a seatbelt still died, so to me him deciding not to wear a seat belt doesn't outweight every law that Nick broke and it may or may not have made the difference. Also, I hate when then call them accidents because my definition of an accident is something that is out of your control - case in point you're driving along, a dog or whatever appears in front of your car and you swerve to avoid it and crash — THAT IS AN ACCIDENT!! When you choice to drink, it's no accident, when you choose to drive recklessly time and time again, it's no accident and when you choose to drag race on a public wet street it damn well isn't an accident. To me Nick has no regard for anyone and remember driving is a right not a privilege so maybe if he looses his right to drive maybe he'll learn his lesson, but I doubt it. I've worked in the insurance industry and it's pretty pathetic that with his driving record regardless of being written up or not that he hasn't lost his license a long time ago. I don't care if you are Tom Friggin Cruise, a wreckless careless driver to me is an *sshole celebrity or not. You want to drag race, go to damn drag racing track.

The hearing is going on, some interesting things I've heard.... -Nick reportedly has skateboarded and played with a toy dart gun in the hospital where John is, and the family has said he has not once apologized and shows zero remorse and goofs off when he comes to visit -The father asked for at least on year in prison for Nick -Hulk bought the alcohol that Nick had drank and his passenger had no alcohol in his system -The Hogan family seems to enable his behavior Is this on TV or something?

8 months in jail, starting immediately 5 years probation, he's also not allowed to drink during probabtion (even though technically he wouldn't for a 3 1/2 years anyhow) 500 hours of community service (which equals about 8 hours a month) and some driving classes

8 months in FEDERAL prison. This is great news for Nick as federal prison is filled with mostly white color criminals, instead of the usual gang bangers, rapists, etc, meaning he isn't going to be anybodies bitch most likely.
I for one am happy to hear this, as I don't view the passenger as a total victim. He should have had his seatbelt on and chose to drive with Nick, knowing his unsafe nature.

As stupid as Nick was to speed, his passenger is an even bigger idiot for not wearing his seatbelt.
Either way, the 8 months in jail will probably end up being 3 or 4 and he’ll be off for good behavior. The 5 years probation will probably end up being 3.

That is bullcrap. My sister lost her ing leg because of a drunk driver and he was never ing found. He got off way to easy. ing bullcrap. The "untouchable" one thinks he can slide by anything, and in my opinion, today, he did.

You guys make me laugh. THIS IS FIRST OFFENSE! Do you know how ing overcrowded our jails would be if EVERY DRUNK DRIVER WAS SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS! You know, our jails do need room for killers, rapists, and baby snatchers, not just drunk drivers. Yes, those people actually exist. As if our jails aren't crowded enough. This kid got a heavy sentence considering all the circumstances. Heavier than anyone I've seen that has gotten a first offense, for similar crimes. You guys are lucky the kid got 8 months and didn't get to walk. Don't bitch about him getting 8 months, it's the best they could do. If they would gave him the maximum he would've appealed it and problay would of ended up getting out of it, due to bias. We are all allowed our day in court when we commit a crime, Nick got his. Be happy he got anything and didn't just walk with probation and fines. Especially since his crime is something that happenes everyday, hundreds of times a day.

Sentence was heavy, I think he suffered actually from being Hgans son, his case was more public and he got roasted as an example. I don't see a regular kid recieving this sentence.

If he stays in for the full 8 months he'll be out by January.
I watched the clips on TMZ and feel bad for Johns family. Nick got enough time I think. Plus he's got the probation and communtiy serivce on top of it. Honestly it's not ALL Nicks fault, The kid really shouldv'e had the seat belt on. But hey, WTF can anyone do. Nicks gonna do as ordered, Let it go.
