Nick Hogan will be in Pinellas County (Florida) court tomorrow to face the music regarding the criminal charges brought against him by the family of John Graziano. Graziano was severely injured on August 26, 2007 while a passenger in Nick Hogan's suped up Toyota Supra.
TMZ's legal sources say that Nick Hogan will not fight the charge of felony reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. He will plead either guilty or no contest. No deal has been struck with prosecutors.
Nick will enter an "open plea" - which gives the judge total control over his sentencing. Victim John Graziano and his family will have an opportunity to testify at a sentencing hearing on how the crime has affected their lives.
The maximum penalty is five years in prison.

Hopefully he gets what he deserves. After watching the reality show you can see how much of a punk he really is and how he just gets away with everything.

Oh, what a shame! Laters Nick!
That being said, if he is sentenced, he will only do half the time or less. Wouldn't be suprised if he was to get away with it all

Ummmm Why post two threads? The one in the Lounge is plenty. I posted two threads because not everyone visits all the boards here and I felt this topic could work here and in the Lounge.

I watched Hogan Knows Best and I felt that Nick Hogan was the biggest example of a rich, bunghole teenager that gets away with a lot of crap because his daddy used to be someone big.
The whole family is nutty. Linda clearly wore the pants in the family; for example, take the episode where Brooke gets an offer to be on the front cover of FHM. Linda constantly said "I'll handle your dad" and she pretty much did. He always talks, talks, talks about how he will protect Brooke, yet he let the little whore pose for a national men's magizine.
Nick Hogan needs a good ass-kicking from someone. He deserves more than 5 years for ruining someone's life.

He won;t get jail time....he'll get five years probation or something. If he gets the full-five years that is. This is first offense for Nick, he will get off light. So i expect a few years suspended which means or probation or just plain probation.

He'll get a suspended sentence and a hefty probation time, it's unlikely he'll step foot in a jail. When you have the money for lawyers they have, and the fact that it's his first offense, and involuntary it really helps him out. Although I want to know more about his BAC, he apparently had some alcohol in his system, under the legal limit and not enough to impair him but still it adds to the wreckless aspect.
I read that the family of the kid who was permanently injured is sueing for medical expenses. They shouldn't even have to sue for it, if the Hogans had a shred of deceny they would have taken care of that. They preached about how they wanted everyone to pray for their friend, they don't seem to be treating him like one.

This is the first one where alcohol is involved. But clearly his driving record shows that he belongs NOWHERE near the road. I hope he gets 5 years.

The way I see it is that had nick not been driving this kid would have and the same result would have most likely occourrd. So nick and this kid for being idiots. And the kids parents for trying to make money off the whole situation.

When people talk about offense they mean felonies and misdemeanors, traffic tickets are neither. While they might be evidence towards excessive speed in the past it's not what constitutes as prior convictions or offenses.

Let us not make Nick seem like a vicous criminal though, I mean lets be realistic here. Is the kid spoiled? Yes. Is he wreckless and stupid? Yes. Did he mean to cause harm and injury? No. Now I'm not saying he shouldn't be held accountable, I think what is happening needs to happen, but I'm saying you guy painting him as a cold blooded criminal are off. Truth be told, his passenger got in the ride with him, and his passenger was not wearing his seatbelt, and his passenger was probably enjoying the speed just as much as he was. His passenger is responsible for his own fate. Nick didn't simply snatch this kid off the street and do it to him, he was a willing participant. Now Nick most definately needs to pay for this, and I think the sentence he's facing is the proper one.
I'll admit I've gotten in the car a few times with someone who was drunk, it was stupid and irresponsible and dangerous. At the same time though, should I have died as a result of this persons actions, my death would be mainly my fault, and I realize that. It's kind of the way this is, the driver needs to be held responsible for breaking the law, but the passenger also knew what the possible risks were.
