I just saw the trailer for it today while seeing Iron Man today, and I can't wait for this movie to come out. I checked IMDB and found out it's due out Christmas 2008. It has the same animations/ graphics as Sin City. At least it'll hold me over until Sin City 2, as well.
Anyone else see the trailer? If so, what did you think?

I don't think this will keep my quiet until Sin City 2, but it will sure help out alot. I don't think Miller is going to mess it up at all.
Haha, i'm happy Ebony White isn't in it.

Most people will see this movie as Miller ruining The Spirit. I see it as Miller trying to make The Spirit not one of the most boring and lamest ing comic book characters I have ever read about in my entire life.

I never even heard of The Spirit, regardless I love Miller so I'll like this.

The poster is one of the coolest ever. I'll wait until we get a full trailer to judge.

The Spirit is a good character created in a bygone era . . . which makes his books boring and unappealing as hell for the most part. His crossover with Batman was good however, and only about a year old at this point, done by Darwyn Cooke (New Frontier). As for Miller directing a Spirit movie, I'll just reserve my judgement on the matter after I see it.

I'm excited about the movie... I think Ebony White should have been in it, but I'm not upset that he isn't.
Miller knows what he's doing. He was great friends with Eisner and has a lot of respect for him and his works... I'm sure he would know if Eisner would be against anything he was doing with the Spirit.
Also, Gabriel Macht was such a perfect choice.
The fact that the producers liked it so much that they moved it up, making a Christmas release says something. It's rare that companies put that much faith in a product.
